Arnova 10 G2 Custom ROM by Finless Version 1.5

Google Play Store updated itself silently to 3.5.16 on 1.5b ROM, so I didn't have to update it with app injector.

Mine too!! I have not updated to 1.5c yet as so far it has not been needed. This is by far the best performing ROM I have tried to date..... BUT, my son has messed up the charge port and if I can't get that fixed, my Arnova may be no longer chargeable.

Being a HUGE Texas Hold'em player i need to have Zynga Poker on my G2. It worked with every update of this Rom until v1.5a. On V1.5b kept giving me Fc's. ill try V1.5c and report back.

Camera Image inverted on Arnova 10 G2

Is there a way to fix the video/cam image from it recording video and pictures from being inverted or backwards on the Arnova 10 G2?

Would be nice to see this fixed if possible.

You have App Injector 0.5. This new versions is app Injector 0.7. The only difference is:
1) It looks in more places for package.zip as on other tabs sdcard is mounted differently. So it checks all locations Petrus and I know of today for scard mount path.
2) Better error checking when building the CSV file. Checks for a space after a comma, missing files, etc.

Other than that, no big difference.

It should be possible but expect force close on things as App Injector is doing it's thing. I have not tried that but based on how App Injector works, it should be OK. Just reboot after App Injector is done.

Is it possible only to update the Google Play Store on 1.5b using the app injector, or is the full ROM reflash necessary for it?

UPDATE ROM is now 1.5c

UPDATE 4/8/2012. ROM is now 1.5c
Google updated the Play Store to 3.5.16 and some apps.
The new ROM is just an update for APP Injector and the latest Google store, etc.
NO ROM changes.

The ROM download is in the first post of this thread and includes the new App Injector Package. Note the file name is now 1.5c

See the nextbook forum. I am doing beta testing now for the 7p serial number 1211.

As for your force close, sounds like something got messed up in /system. Having full root and write access to /system is a double edge sword! You some app like SDMaid or ROM Manager and you can hose your /system files up!!!! Factory reset will not fix it either! Factory reset code never expects /system to be RW so it doesnt do anything with that. The only way to fix a hosed up /system is a full ROM reflash.

Nextbook 7

Hey Bob when are you making it for the nextbook premium 7? Oh and I'm having a problem with the 1.4 rom on my nextbook, when it trys to connect to wifi google services framework stops working everytime. It also stops working when i first turn it on . Any way to fix it?

Titanium puts back your old Google ID from the backup so in fact when restoring using titanium, you will not have a problem. I have recreated that fact many times already. It's when you do a new flash and start from scratch this stuff shows up.

You know, I flashed 1.5b from 1.4 Philly and restored all my apps and data with APK Batch installer, and the remaining data with Titanium and haven't encountered a single Play issue. I am even responding using Swiftkey Tablet X.
