I got e-mailed the fix for my Mecool M8S PRO Plus.
After following the instructions and rebooting, Netflix now works again.
PS: There was another Netflix update also, but so far its working fine with latest Netflix.

Search for test pattern, then play one with a 1080p test, some are only 720p tests.

My box is the LQ and I have what I think is the latest stock firmware installed: (M8S_PRO_L-ota-20171216.102705.V0928-fixed) and the problem started occurring.

I ran the apk and it's working. Not sure if it's streaming in HD though. Is there a way to check?

Anyway problem is sorted.

I use it to know the maximum resolution and quality that Netflix achieves. In my case it only goes up to 1080p because of the chosen plan.

It is my understanding, that in order to achieve higher than 1080p, your device has to support at least HDCP 2.2.
