Please, this has been answered a couple of times man... Ethernet depends on KERNEL, you have to choose right revison version...

Ok my friend i get it this depend on Kernel. However I am new with these and i don't know how to get the Kernel on my box. When restored the "justxbmc" firmware I used an application called RKBatchtool--1.7. I browsed for the image file and clicked restore.

However i dont know how to put another kernel on my device (K-R42). I cant find any tutorial and i am a newbie. Can anyone help me. It is really important for me.

Thank you guys for you help. I manage to flash another kernel. The ethernet and everything were working great but had not sound at all. Which kernel did you used. Can you give me a link to download it?

Hi,

Yesturday I've tried 4 roms for my K-r42 rev.2.1 (2 by lewy20041 and 2 by wasser). I think that justXBMC rom is the best for me. It is the rom in which I can use audio passthrough by HDMI. It is very important form me. XBMC works very well also.

However, the rom is unstable (as the other rom from lewy20041). After about 1hour it freezes and reboots. I haven't got such problem with stock or wasser firmware. Lewy20041, is there any kind of fix for this? I want to use your rom because of audio passthrough via HDMI.

Unable to enter recovery mode after flashing?

Hi, wondered if someone might be able to help?
I successfully rooted my k-r42 then used rktools to flash to the justxbmc image, and all was working fine. However recently it has started just turning itself off randomly often part-way through a film. So, I thought I would try another lewy20041 image, however... for some reason I am now unable to enter recovery mode? I'm doing exactly the same as I was when I first flashed it but it's now no longer working.

If I disconnect all cables, then reconnect the power cable, hold down the reset button while powering on, it no longer does anything (ie. Doesn't enter recovery mode or boot normally). If I disconnect and reconnect power and press the power button it will boot normally. I have also tried installing apps that claim to reboot into recovery mode, but the unit just powers down rather than restating.

Is there any other way that I can try an alternative image without doing it through recovery mode? (I have also tried using rktools when the unit is just on normally but it doesnt detect it.
Am I able to reflash just with an sd card, or an app?

Any help greatly appreciated!
