I tred just XBMC firmware. XBMC perfomance is so good . Everything is stable. But Screen Mirroring is not working.

K-R42 switch from Lewy 2.0.4 to justXBMC

question from the average user:
Right now i'm using lewy android 2.0.4 ROM .
I'm considering try this frimeware cause most of the use of the device is XBMC.
my question are-
is it possible to install apps from the app store?
external players already included in the frimware?
and finally- for a user who's not so good with computer language and codes, you recommand this rom?

I just switched to justXBMC ver 1.1.1 from lewy 2.0.4 ROM on my K-R42 as I couldn't get a bunch of apps to work properly and my tv box was gathering dust so I had nothing to lose. I was amazed how much better it is. You can install external apps, Google playstore is included in the build. You can get to playstore and any other android apps you install through the programs menu in XBMC. Netflix android app works great as does Comcast Xfinity TV player and Google Play Movies. Hulu works great through the XBMC plugin. Of those four, only Netflix would work on Lewy 2.04. MX player also works with the justXBMC firmware, executed through the programs menu in XBMC. You will need to download MX player from the Play store.

I have XBMC set-up with the XBMCtalk download and I get very few script errors on dozens of plugins I've used, whereas I couldn't get anything in XBMC to work with Lewy 2.0.4 without script errors.

My K-R42 is in constant use now and I'm delighted.

No display problem

Hi guys,

I flahsed the latest version of this last night and everything worked perfectly, the best I've ever seen XBMC work in fact. When I was finished last night I pressed the power off button on the remote control and selected 'power off.' Today when I turn the K-R42 on, it boots up with the blue light showing but there's nothing displayed on the tv at all, no boot logo, nothing. Anyone have any ideas for a fix? Is the unit broken?

for 99% the unit is ok so dont wory.
new update comeing soon and there shouldnt be problems like this any more.

Thanks Lewy. I was seriously impressed right before it stopped working. XBMC worked incredibly, even in HD.

Hi Lewy, I have some comments for justXBMC.apk (application).

1. You should create a proper thread on Polish forum about JustXBMC You will get a lot of feedback.

2. JustXBMC.apk work the best and without some bugs only with your firmware. I try used justXBMC (application) on stock rom in K-R42 and I found some bugs.

-button 'OK' in original TV remote doesn't work.
-HD movies 720p and 1080p (6-12GB) are stutter (I was getting lower frame rates).

3. If I used justxmbc.apk on your soft (actually on HFW 2.04) it works perfectly, HD movies plays very smoothly - it's amazing because I used a lot of version XBMC and all of them gives (lower frame rates) so very thank you for that. I don't have to use MX player anymore - it doesn't support DTS.

4. I feel lack of one function that justXBMC doesn't have in comparison to original version - scrolling menu categories with moving mouse to edge of sceen. Could you restore this funciton in next version?

I have video running smoothly only in "mx player" ,video run with hdd,what should be done to make the video work smoothly in "xbmc"?(in mx 38 gb movie works perfectly , in xbmc 10 gb movie slows)

Actually in JustXBMC.apk function On Hover - (mouse cursor) is completely disabled, so navigation with mouse is hard. It's a pity.

Lewy, no rush at all as my machine is running fine on your 2.04 rom but my sister just received her device and I was going to set up justxbmc for her.

I read a while back that you was going to release a new version soon and I really don't want to set it up twice for her.

Is it due soon as I will wait? If not, no problem mate and I will just flash the version you have there now for her.

Lewy,I have 10gb movie in xbmc slow and freez , but "mx player" 38 gb running smoothly,What should I do to fix?
