Hi mate this site it is linked to is not being allowed in firefox it says to click the ? symbol but that symbol does not exist in my browser and i cannot download it,can you upload to mediafire or something else please,also i am not getting it realy is this .apk to make the ouya store work? If so do i use the apk with any k-r42 firmware or do i have to load the just xbmc firmware from earlier and then ad the apk to that to use it by going to the advanced options?

Hi Lewy,

i tried to install the latest firmware 1.1, but this won't work. I tried it 4 times, everytime after the low level format i
get the message "wait for loader start" and after some seconds the device switch to "MaskRomMode" and the rockchip tool
shows only a blue button.

This can be repaired with the RK_FLASH tool with erasing nand and flashing only a loader.

Same install with 1.03 firmware works without these failure...

I am currently attempting to download the new firmware you posted and the link is working now mate,bust i am just need to query something mate,in one post it sayssomething about the 'just xbmc.apk' what is that for please? And do i absolutely have to use it with the current v1.0.3 firmware please advise.Another question i have is because i will be using a xbox 360 wireless controller for my unit,do i need the usb wireless sensor plugged into the k-r42 or will it detect automaticaly via it's (k-r42's) own wifi reciever?I also am wondering weather the google play store app is incorporated or maybe applyable if not and if not will future progress give us the program to play apps and games from the playu store,i know it's a bit cheeky having worked so hard to get where you have with the fw so far but i am sure if it's not on it you are working maybe to incorporate it in the future if you are to release more versions of this firmware mate,it's just finished the download and i will get back with my views on the release asap mate cheers.

some ouya games need to detach the controler and reatach it after the game will start to make it work
but thats only few and its one time per firmware boot.

Sorry levy i am a pain in the @ss i know,but i cannot get the ouya store on i set it all wifi on and synced the controller but when i go to the settings advanced i am sent to a plain black screen not the ouya store any ideas mate?

I am somewhat in the same boat here i do not get a black screen i do get a solid black screen if i exit xbmc and go to the advanced page i press ok button on advanced and there is no ouya store just a plain black page now still waiting but no result no ouya store i have the 360 controller plugged in,however i am using a cheapo wireless sensor off **** for the controller,although the sensor works on pc and the k-r42 natively?

sometimes xbmc will shout itself down but as you know all ver of xbmc are like that and its hapens only sometimes.
but now its easy just press home button on remote and start xbmc.
easy as that.

why do you exit xbmc?
xbmc is not launcher anymore doe to sdcard mount to slow sometimes.
go to settings by pressing home button on remote or xbox button on xbox360 controller
or in xbmc navigate to programs<android apps< settings
go to advanced<swich mode and press ok
after a while the box will restart in ouya mode.
be sure to activate internet conection before going to ouya mode.

I did as asked basicaly i restarted booted to xbmc i went into programs android apps settings advanced but when i click advanced it chucks me back to the same page there is nothing saying switch on it? I then held in the controller xbox button and just sits forever on a black screen mate no change been at least 5 minutes i'd say and it hasn't rebooted yet? The wifi and ethernet are both on.I'm wondering if the uploaded firmware is the correct one now sorry if i sound a bit cheeky but it may be wrong i'm guessing it could be an older version possibly? It states it is v1.3 on the bin though?
Also i do have a kingston 32gb sd card inserted whilst flashing and when running the box is this going to make an issue maybe?
Another thing is if i press home key on remote i go to a black screen which i then have to press the menu key to bring a list which one of which is settings.
