Randy, I' sorry. under which menu is the battery data erase thingy?all I can find is wipe dalvik cache and factory reset...
Originally posted by rrileypm View PostSometimes when you change kernels, the battery reporting data gets corrupted. If you go into CWM Recovery and erase the battery data this might solve the problem.
Also, If you flash the entire ROM with the stock kernel first...then go back and flash the OC kernel, you might have better results.
That's two things you might try.
Another thing is to try flashing a stock firmware (the older the better) and let your battery charge to 100 percent...then flash the custom ROM. That seems to help some people having battery problems.

You must flash the ROM with a PC using the RKBatchTool.
The reason is that parameter files change between ROM's, and the partition sizes for system and kernel have to accommodate the space needed. That's especially true if you have used an alternate parameter file for increased user app space.
You can use CWM to flash the SAME ROM back to your tablet if you have a problem, because there is no need to change the partitions..unless you want to increase the user app space...which again, requires a PC to flash.
Another reason that CWM isn't a real solution is that many stock ROM's aren't set up to flash using CWM...there's a special template that is required (which include in my ROM kit).
Hope that helps.
BTW, has anyone tried v2.2? Any feedback? I'm getting ready to make a final version and post a new thread.Randy

Tnx for the info man. I asked about cwm installation because it's only thing i have left really. Flashing, or recovery from rockchip firmware.com didn't work, and now i can only boot to cwm.
I used your template, copied files into root of the zip installed from sdcard, factory reset i did it before and i did it after flashing alternatively. It finishes ok but it still loads to cwm no matter what i do. Maybe I have wrong version of cwm I have one downloaded from androtab.info.
Could you describe steps in short please i missed something it seems.
Also is it posibble for pc to recognize tablet in such CWM mode as m9? PC can see sd cards when i use storage mount in cwm, but not recognizes device as M9,but as rk30sdk (something).
if i could try some other drivers that would make pc recognize the tablet so i could reboot to flash with propper windows tools.

Pipo M9 Max RileyROM 2.1
This is for the M9 with new PCB.
I just finished the Old PCB version, but waiting for it to upload.
This is NOT for the M9 Pro.

v.2.2 is based on a firmware dated 10-29-13.
I don't get change logs with ANY Pipo firmware releases...so I'm not aware of specific changes...sorry.
Theoretically, it would include a fix to a problem they encountered with their previous firmware. The file name indicates it is a "pure" firmware...meaning that Pipo did not include any extra apps or bloatware, including absence of the Pipo Launcher apps. It's just a straight, clean firmware.
What I did was to remove more of the usual Chinese widget apps and Chinese Store/Communication apps to clean it up just a little bit more.
I have not tested it, because I don't have an M9.
It's still uploading............................Randy

Randy, I'm afraid there's no battery data erase option under any menu. I've checked and double checked...
