Testing Coreelec on A95X F4 First Version with 7668 wifi

In anticipation of Superceleron Latest Rom with Dual OS
Reboot to Recovery/Change OS
Have been Testing Coreelec

Strange....

Files Flashed to Box with Android 10 as OS
Regardless of DTB i tried / many
Coreelec would not Boot....

Files Flashed to Box with Android 11 as OS

Coreelec Boots with success !!!!


Must be something with Android 10
Or Boot load issues..

I have same problem with this box on android 10, so if I update it to latest android 11 then coreelec will work? For coreelec is it the 100mbit or 1gbit device tree?

Same as mine
There is no update to 11

They made new China boxes a95xf4 with Android 11 and different wifi modules.

So you were forced to buy new China Box.

If you want to Test Coreelec

Flash firmware with Android 11.

You can use the a95xf4 Android 11 firmware
You will have no wifi/bluetooth
Lan will work
And everything else

There are other Android 11 firmware you can test
Same result
No wifi/bluetooth
But ethernet will work

Maybe test Superceleron Tanix X4 V 2.0
Remote control functions from a95xf4 is included

Hi there, thanks for all the amazing contributions here!

I've got an A95X F4, 2GB ram + 100Mb eth version, came with Android 10, following Freddy's help on the CoreElec forum I made some progress.
I managed to flash vendor Android 11 version. The device does not boot to Android 11 but the flashing was enough to overwrite the original locked bootloader in the Android 10 vendor image, this enabled me to boot on sd card but not all images would work, which is why I'm now trying to at least get Android 11 to boot.

So, aml usb burn tool works with most roms I found but now when trying this rom and I have an issue in aml usb burning tool at 5%:

Flash_init uboot/Falsh init and erase/Undefined/undefined 5%

And in the message frame below:

oemcmd [...] Failed at check dts

dts error suggests hardware mismatch. The 2GB version of the A95X F4 is almost completely unknown, there is no official Android 11 firmware for it, only 4G version (does that really matter?)
Do I have to modify the rom with rom kitchen before flashing to adapt for different hardware?

Looks like you are correct
No Android 11 for 2gig version a95xf4

Maybe take box apart

Confirm Ram chip
Ethernet transceiver
Wifi/ bluetooth

CoreElec. dmesg
You already have that in pastebin

Take some pics of board/ both sides

Maybe slimboxtv for Transpeed X4s which is 100M
Will work on your box.

It's just the 2 gig Ram that is issues

I have never flashed a 4gig firmware to 2gig box.

As for the discussion, you need a new DTS + uboot for A11 work on that device! ye the diference from using 2 or 4gb can be big, it seems its not but it is.
On flash time, the tool and uboot do some checks to see if your device is supported if it does not find that information on both uboot and dts then it refuses to flash it.
I cant remember if i added 2gb support to my rom, i need to check the code!

Most are DDR3

Tox3lite (ugoos so probs wont)
X96 X4
H96max x4
Hk1 rbox x4s( also different names,transpeed
Transpeed x4 100

Would be better off trying 2 gig versions
Will have varying results
May get lucky and find box that has same wifi/ bluetooth
