One other suggestion: Could the front-display be used to display the play time? I don't need it as a clock but play time would be useful.

Well the display yes it can but it all depends on what was programmed on the executable when it was made, i do not have access to that source!

No it does not, there is no libs for it... that only on certified devices.

well its hard to support all remotes guys, i know it frustrating since i made this build only for the TX4.
I do not have another s905x4 device with me now, since company's simple stop sending me samples so i'm limited + i'm also limited on time i have to work on this!
I will try to see what i can do, but no promises..

I was thinking about using a USB mouse to finish the setup when I find time.

Maybe there's a possibility to extract the keymapping from the original image and install it in this one? That would save a lot of time.

I tried your image on an X96 X4.

Strangely neither USB nor SD update did work but after a few tries I got the USB burn tool working.

The front display won't work (doesn't really matter) but also the remote isn't working properly. Going down the list works, going up doesn't. I found another key for up but couldn't find any for OK, so I cannot complete the setup wizard. Hopefully this will be fixed in a later release. I would really like to use this image.

I have the same issue to you and I used bluetooth keyboard to finish the setup. I am sure the rom can't work with the original remote and i used bluetooth remote, G20s but still have some issues with it but i used button-remapper for remapping the button. It is almost ok but the issue with the Gboard which prevent to use on-screen keyboard (can show the keyboard but can't chose the letters). I fixed this by using leanback keyboard instead of.
Now, the box runs awesome with the ROM. I will post some pictures and videos later.

I installed it IN MY A95x F4 BOX. Everything works except the light and the clock display. else you can add How to Force Close Apps how to close the applications that are running in the background apps

Well my first rom for a S905X4 device based on android 11.
Nothing from the STOCK rom was used, this is a clean build done from my own Amlogic Android 11 sdk.
