debicho There was a lot of boxes with that date so you need to paste "id week date" eg. 1329 / 1340 etc near real date you wrote ... to find out if your box is new or old rev.

You can also use old and new rev of kernel and check wifi/lan connection. On fail change to another kernel and You will get yours.

Generaly speeking there is minor difference between old and new revision concentrating around LAN (Ethernet) controller part of PCB and it is quite safe to install kernel either for old or new revision on new or old version board. Besides LAN everything should work.

Seems we can't be sure what revision can be. Thanks.

For first try new kernel. Check wired connection and if it will not work try old one.

I can't help You more from far because of many other issues like for eg. router connection. I,ve never used LAN to connect box. Some other ppl had problems with wireless connection... Try 1.2.5 with new kernel and paste effects.

Ok, I flashed with new kernel and I get correct wifi, but not ethernet. Only I tryed once and now I´m rebooting and try a new chance with the cable connection.

Can be this combination of correct wifi and no ethernet for a incorrect kernel version?

                    EDIT:

I flashed old kernel and I have same issue. I get wifi when besides router, but I don't reach when in hall.
And I don't have ethernet signal.

So the problem it's the same with new or old kernels. I´m tired from this device.

Really no ethernet signal or do you use DHCP at router/box?
The problem is, that the ethernet implementation don't use a static MAC...
So maybe it helps to setup the IP and so on at the box...

Maybe also try the 1.2.3 (like I use)

So I should put off the DHCP on the router config ?

I don't know at router, but do you try to config the ethernet IP and so on manually at the box?
(And, I think, at the router you have to configure the DHCP only to use IP from e.g. x.x.x.002 ... x.x.x.100, and use at box an IP > x.x.x.100)...

Ok, I have tried input manually the IP config of the Rk42. But the values don`t stay saved.

So I flashed again with new kernel. Now I have the ethernet config and at a first impression seems to be ok.

                              Hi Wasser,

I am using your 1.2.5 Rom with CS918, however I found the IR remote doesn't work and the stock remote is a bit different from others. Can you help me or what I should do to make the IR remote work properly?

P.S. (I found that lewy24001's 1.2.0 rom's kernel support this remote, but if i flash its kernel to your 1.2.5 rom, the system hang after 1minute of boot (which i can see the launcher only then hang....))

                              Thanks,
                              tmac666

                                Can't get 1080p in XBMC

Guys, I wonder if the overclocked kernels are V-Sync patched? I assume they should be, but unfortunately I can't get stable 1080p decoding in the xbmc with any of the K-R42 kernels offered.

Has anyone suffered from similar issue?

                                Thanks in advance
