Tablet GUI is more fluid but AnTuTu shows lower scores (19690). I've finally installed the 1,7 Ghz CPU kernel and now I'm very pleased with the performance of my M7Pro. AnTuTu score is now 20669.

I have installed PurePerformances-X MOD - thanks Randy for the CWM installation guide - and after first reboot I had as well problems with my WiFi connection which was disabled. Enabling WiFi resulted into a kind of speed reboot ( boot animation screen was visible for approx. 3-4 seconds. After an additional reboot Wifi is working again.

Hello chaps,
I hope I haven't accidentally given anyone a hard time... I'm very lazy, hence not doing a proper wipe when upgrading. Who knows what badness this may cause? I've been lucky so far... (I stopped using Titanium Backup with my M7 as it seemed broken with earlier ROM versions - fixed now I believe)
I also suspect I'm just very lucky with my tablet running at 1.7Ghz - nothing cleaver I'm doing.
On the WiFi thing I've also been OK - there's two routers in my house and my M7 is forever dropping the connection with one but fine with the other... of no practicable problem as the M7 picks up the 'good' router sooner-or-later. So I guess some of the issue will be down to what hardware you have...
...having done a little fiddling here's a quick suggestion to try:
So to settings/WiFi/advanced: Keep WiFi on during sleep - set to Always and that should do it at the cost of some battery life, sigh.
-or-
Go to Playstore and install - WiFi Fixer, follow any reccomendations, and that should do it.

I've seen it, but I haven't had time to play with it...too much ROM work right now.
Looks like something to try AFTER you install a custom ROM, rather than build it into the ROM.
Let me know how it goes. Worst case would be you would have to flash again if it messed something up.Randy

Their web site explains it, pretty much. It's a collection of tweaks. For instance, one of the features puts a whole lot of lines into the build.prop.
I just downloaded it and looked inside the file to find various changes to system files and stuff.
I loaded it to my M6 Pro and crashed my tablet. Every time I turned on wifi it would reboot. So I had to reflash my ROM again. It may work on the M7 Pro...but not the M6 Pro. I'm not sure I will try it on my M7.
I'm getting pretty good results with the kernel upgrades offered here. That's good for me.Randy

I have downloaded this 'pure performance' x mod
and will not even try to flash it until go through all the scripts to check'em. And this is combination of crossbreeder plus probably something else. And it will not work on all devices as they declare. Without modifications at least. For example, in RAM optimization script emmc blocks are referred to, this was the first script i've opened and am sure will find more incorrect later..

For me your work has changed what was initially a very disappointing and rather unstable tablet into something that is a pleasure to use.
This ROM is stable and Antutu gave me a 20124 score, M7 Pro wifi krn 1608h gpu600 ddr 720.
Battery consumption is augmented slightly but now I have a fast tablet.
PS: Flashing was a little nightmare because the original USB cable don't work well. Finally I got a stable connection with a cable of Zopo smartphone.
Greetings from Italy.

Well done
First of all I want to thank you for your effort on boosting up our favorite tablet. You have done a great job till now.
I have a question also. Did anyone tried skype? It seems to crash sometimes, the mic is not always working and the camera is sometimes up side down. Do you guys have those problems too?
Skype calls was on of the top reason that I bought the tablet so it's real important to me.
Let me know.
