I think lewys rom i based on 006 firmware. I tried the 008 but not for long. Lewys rom is way better.
Only wish that someone can mod the new XBMC so i can run it on this great rom.

Thanks. I tried crude way to backup from 008 and then restore to 006c....doesn't seems to work on stock 006c either...


Reason is 006 is the only version which doesn't breaks HULU and a host of other streaming app.

V3.2 with O/C -> no O/C

Hey Lewy,

I had 3.2 loaded with the O/C and would get intermediate hangs.

Went to flash 3.2 without O/C.

I was setting up WIFI, since X7 works on 5gig band I gave it name for my 5gig band and it would not connect. With the O/V version with your launcher loaded it did not have a problem connecting to the 5gig bandwidth, and now it will only connect with the 2.4gig. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Anyone else having this issue?

Using mainly lan here but I get about 20mbps wifi download on a dd-wrt wireless router

i got a 2nd minix box for a mate and installed the 3.2 rom, it's nice and fast, wifi is better then fineless rom. but sometimes I get hangups which clears in 20 seconds or so....annoying.
also I don't think I've installed the kernels, i just downloaded the firmware and installed it over stock firmware as per instructions from readme.txt. How do I go about updating the kernel? Also how to remove the gamepad icon from the dock?

Hi there..was the kernel ticked in the flash tool?.. if it was then you have installed a new kernel

selected FW path and clicked restore and it was done.

Ok im not 100% sure about this as I dont use that tool but I would guess that the Rkbatchtool has flashed the kernel aswell,but cant be sure sorry may be someone else who uses that tool can help

I just followed the "Changelog + Install.txt" file...

#Install

-unpack arhive (anywhere)
-start \RKBatchTool\RKBatchTool.exe
-put device into flash mode (press and hold reset button, conect otg to pc and box)[if you already using my HFW go to setting>advanced>reboot to bootloader]
-install proper drivers when windows ask from \Drivers\ folder
-when you wil see number 1 in green box select "..." button in right top corner of RKBatchTool
-navigate to HFW_vx.x.x.img
-pres restore button in RKBatchTool

MXplayer, stock player or XBMC do the same, artifacs, pixels, and etc.
with MXplayer in SW mode no extrange pixels but frameskiping is present.





This happnes to me in few h264 videos, so maybe someone cant tell me if this an android thing or a newbie problem

Don't use the that tool to flash kernl on this ROM, lewy provided you with a method to flash the OC kernel from within this rom. Choose a kernel from the oc kernel package found on the 1st page, rename to kernel.img, move kernl to sdcard/HFW folder, then go to settings, miscellaneous, flash kernel, only flash lewy kernel from this release.

You need busybox mount command instead of system mount one ;-)

guys ... this is far the best firmware for x7! i have tried every else fw, and all of them have a lot of problems ( problems are from stock fw ). ty lewy
