    Help Identifying t-r42 device

Had to open up the case and found this silkscreened on the PCB:

    rk3188_box_szy_x6
    v1_0 131024

Stupid me flashed it with the justXBMC and had the joys of a non working remote.

I have another unit with stock still on it, is there anyway I can dump the stock using rkflash?

    (if so whats the syntax)

    Thanks in advance guys.

rkflash (offset)>filename not sure what it's looking for in the offsets

If you have basic skill of linux.. rkflashkit has a option to backup partitions (only for rockchip devices)
rkflashkit is an open source toolkit for flashing Linux kernel images to rockchip rk3066/rk3188/rk3288 etc. based devices. It's programmed with python and gtk2. - linuxerwang/rkflashkit

ps.. could you post a picture or two of the new pcb?

    See

Have you seen any sticker on the back of T-r42.( no need to open t-r42, just check the back of T-r42).

I have the same PCB version device. In back there is not any stickers.

In my device doesn't work LAN in stock and in other trying firmwares. This is a bug in firmware or devices is broken?

Do you know anybody where can get firmware for this modification T-R42?

This firmware seems the same like what was in my device.

Do you have device T-R42 with PCB v.1.0? Does in device LAN working?

Yes i have same device with same PCB and in this firmware all it's working but i don't check it for Frame Skipping. Do this in nearest 1-2 days and tell you. If all will be OK so good if not - try to patching kernel.

I load this firmware. This is the same firmware, what was stock in my device. I again check LAN connection. Device connect with my router and got dynamic IP, but right away disconnect. LAN Icon in right bottom conner constantly appear and disappear. I put static IP, LAN works but slowly, because constantly connected and disconnected.

Can be this behavior is a hardware problem or can fix it by new firmware?

Problem with Dinamic MAC is present here and in many another firmware but connecting to router normally and working good without disconnect. Try to connect to another router maybe with another LAN cable or searching the problem in hardware of CS918.

Any chance somebody can post a mirror? I've tried twice to pull down the file, but it's a 3 hour download and it keeps stopping.

Thank you for answer. I'm trying connect other cable and connection appear. Before I used connection throw cross-cable to switch, other TV box BT351 v.1.1 with it worked normally.

So, there is some nuance to LAN connection with this devices.

This is a link http://yadi.sk/d/11oFjajuEtSH7 to modifying stock firmware by me. I added root, reboot application, twick build.prop and made v-sync fix to kernel. If you need root, you can try it.
