Pipo M6 Pro RileyROM 1.7 KitKat

Finally, a working KitKat ROM for the M6 Pro!!!!!!!

This ROM is based on firmware provided by manao in the 1.6 thread, post #54.

I have tested this ROM to the point that I know that it boots, and is rooted. Wifi works. I have not encountered any problems with installing and running apps after a Titanium restore. So, I'm ready for you guys to take this for a spin.

IMPORTANT FACTS

1. You MUST flash the RK3188Loader(L)_V2.08.bin the first time you flash this ROM. KitKat requires this new loader to run. If you choose to go back to Jellybean...you MUST flash the loader for that ROM. The loaders aren't interchangeable.

2. NONE of the files in a KitKat ROM are backward compatible with Jellybean files...so you can't use an OC kernel from my Jellybean ROM with this ROM, or you will not boot.

This is so cool, I would like to try but my PC is running on Linux....
is there a way to flash from linux like for instance with http://flashrom.org/Flashrom ?

I confirmed...no GPS support on this ROM. Maybe they had trouble with it, and left it out for now. There's a good excuse for an update, soon.

Randy, will you make version of this rom with wi-fi power changed up to 100%?

I'm looking for those settings...I don't know what they have it set to by default.

EDIT: They have it set to 80%

If I do another update, I will increase it to 100%. Just try the current wifi settings and see if we really need the added 20%. My wifi seems very strong at 80%.

multiuser is not working on my pipo RileyRom 1.7, although the fw_maxusers.. entry is added in the build.prop

No, GPS isn't active with this firmware. Also 3G isn't active.
