Works very nicely. Feels fluid and fast. Only letdown is that location don't work.

Have 19600 in antutu, games feels more fluid than on jb also.

I think this one is actually made for the the M6 though not the M6 Pro.

But aside from 3G and no GPS function is everything else identical to the specs of the M6 Pro?

              Thanks so much again
              This is for M9 Pro!!!

None of these preview KitKat releases support GPS yet.

While you can't do backups with CWM...there are other features that people use that works...so I included it anyway..

The reason it doesn't work is due to an extra partition called metadata that is new to KitKat. I hope we get an updated CWM soon...for now, Titanium is your friend.

Thanks for getting to this so quickly though.

If i were to flash my M9 Pro with the newly released firmware on pipo's website would it need different drivers to the M6 Pro? Or can i connect it like i would the M6 Pro and flash it without the need to install certain drivers for the m9 pro?

                    Thanks guys
Please let me be clear...this IS an M6 Pro firmware. It just doesn't have GPS because Pipo is still working on getting GPS and 3G working.

If you have flashed ANY Rockchip device...the drivers are already installed. So you don't have to install them again. The use the same drivers for all devices.

One thought I had was on providing updates and mirrors for new ROMs. I've recently taken to the use of BTSync as a way of providing mirrors of big files. All you'd have to do is provide a secret key for the ROM and then anyone else sharing that would become peers and host it as well. Just a thought.

I made some comments here if anyone is interested:
                        http://cdrussell.blogspot.co.uk/2014...ro-tablet.html
We have discussed using BTSync...but we prefer just having the files here on Freaktab. As the site grows further...we might reconsider this decision. Finless is the man to ask about it.

I've always used the similar file update_M6_3G_20130814.img which is very simple to load in my Pipo M6 Pro vers. 3g.
I do not understand how to do with your system.
Thank you in advance, I await your response

Have you studied the First Time User's Guide that is included in the zip file? It is pretty clear.

There must be a slight variation with your hardware that is causing this...

Did you erase IDB before you flashed?

Is there an app you are running giving you problems?

That feature wasn't added to the Pipo firmware this time.

We will have to wait for 3G support. It's only a preview release. GPS is another feature that needs some attention.

Ok...I hope I've addressed all of the questions...this ROM is running smoothly on my M6 Pro...but I only have the wifi version, and don't use the GPS feature for any practical application ..so I think I will keep running it for a while.

If those missing features are important...I recommend flashing 1.6. Be sure to click the loader line to flash back to Jellybean because the KitKat loader will not work with Jellybean. I'm confident that someone will experience bricking their tablet trying to do it. I've already done it twice, now...myself.

Although it is a pain in the butt...you can recover.
