A few days ago I got R-TV box s10. I'm happy with it, it's all right.
Firmware is 20170912.

Super su is asking to update binaries. Is it safe to update???

I read that Supersu binaries update knows to block the device...

EDIT:
I made the update binaries and got the bootloop.
I've returned the TWRP backup and now it works normally.

How did you disassemble it?! My micro sd card got stuck while i was putting it in and it slipped inside this particular Android tv box! I would appreciate the help anyway i can

Need to Lift the top off it's a double sided sticky thing
Start around the edge with a very thin Blade to start the lift.
Then something slightly ( dull knife from the kitchen) thicker to get under and In slowly lift while pushing the knife toward the middle.

Then the screws and you're in...

Switch the power mode to off in the settings ( Power ) .
That sleep mode is annoying .

i already did that, one of the first things i did. but to no avail. i leave it turned on (just switch the TV to a different input) for the night, and in the morning there's like a 50/50 chance it would still be on. Sometimes it only takes an hour for it to lose itself, sometimes it goes on for days without a problem. No idea what's behind it.

I'm on my second R-TV box pro. It's the second one that worked great for a couple weeks and then all of a sudden, won't power up. The blue lights on the edges went dim and there's a low volume/high pitched noise coming from the box. Eventually, the blue light wouldn't even light up. No video coming from the hdmi cable. Just black screen. Doesn't even get to the boot logo. I've tried different cables and a different TV. Anyone know a fix or why this is happening? Just dud boxes?

Updating Supersu will lock your box. You will have to re flash the image. Not sure if other brands have this problem.
By the way, which version of TWRP are you using on this box?

It does not work for me. Installation passes smoothly, but Box does not boot...
I've tried several times, but Box does not show signs of life
I came back to Rom 20170912

Some will work on both, other yet to catch up to this idea.

Mine is the 2gb/16gb model. I am finding that the GT1 Beelink ROM working satisfactorily on the unit. Big fan of TWRP.

I tried with this latest USB Burning Tool v2.1.2.
But without success. Same as before, the process ends with: Burning successfully. When I turn it on, the blue light is on, but the TV screen is black. There is no sign that the Box running

Yes just tried on a 2/16 that this Firmware I think its for, had to got to maskrom pins 19 and 20 to get it to detect
Loaded and Nothing as mentioned...will keep at it.

S10 box better cooling, they say?? Temperature reaches 85°C while watching movies...

As for the 20171213 Firmware it loads fine on a 3gb/16gb S10 but never boots.
The only way to make it load is to only use the system.PARTITION and recovery.PARTITION added to the 20170912 Firmware.

Use the Customization Tool and just replace the two file above it will boot fine and seems to run okay, This firmware the 20171213 is not Rooted but that was take care of using SuperSU 2.82 zip file via TWRP.

Other than the way above I have found noway to get the 20171213 to boot it has some other files embedded in the .img file " aml_sdc_burn.UBOOT.ENC , DDR_ENC.USB , meson1_ENC.dtb , UBOOT_ENC.USB " But regardless it seems the bootloader.PARTITION and boot.PARTITION seem to be Hosed.

The recovery.PARTITION is also Hosed so please disregard replacement of it.
