So I refund myself with a state of the art tablet. For once finally a device with the complete Google support.
It is the awesome nexus7 2013.:-)

I'm lucky with my new device.

yes but whats inside ? snapdragon 400, 600, 800, or last beast 805 ? and is it overclockable ? http://www.qualcomm.com/snapdragon/processors

As fare as I read, it is an underclocked s600 1,5 GHz inside and you can overclock the snapedragon, but thats not the point.

You don't need it. The nexus 7 is really fast enough. Spare better your battery.
Before I want something to change, I have to find the failure first. :-) and I have the device since 4hours.

Kernels created with source code from before the T variant existed don't have code to detect and limit it, kernels created with source after the introduction of the T chip do have code for it. I explained in #329

Until we find a solution for our T models, is there any way to just overclock GPU and RAM? Also....how can we check the current GPU and RAM frequencies?

              cpu-z app show you frequencies
for overclock T models you can run neomod 1.7 + SAM overclock
or neomod 2.1 + SAM overclock

Thanks d33, I understand you, but in case I flash my device with 4.2.2 FW + "old" Sam's overclocked kernels I have CPU dfvs tables with 1600, 1704, 1800... with increased CPU performance and total 19500+ score in accordance with AnTuTu (4.0.X), but at the same time something wrong with part of RAM and GPU performances, because I have:
                Ram operation 2248; Perfect
                Ram Speed 967; Low anough
                GPU 2D 1398; Extremely Low
                GPU 3D 2104 Extremely Low
                Total 19507 Perfect

while mali_dfvs shows me this strange row:
                128,179,223,297,297,446
where 297 is doubled and 446 is upper value, when I know it must be at least 597.
Probably there is something else we don't know about, like GPU and part of RAM (which seems to be as videoRAM), adjusting process.
What would you say about it?

Same as Intel, in the old days they were are fabricated as the fasted chip and then graded, the ones that qualified for the top speed were used as that, then they were graded down from there and sold as different speeds, but some basic models were able to clock back to an amazing clock speed as they had to use the best chips to make the numbers up of the lower speeds, some were not able to as they were the failed ones...
luck of the draw unless you use a quality manufacturer that has decided to use non -T's like MiniX, mine clocks to 1800 without an issue and is very fast you pays your money and you get what you pay for.... unless you were lucky
Not really wise to BET on something you paid actual money for (not monopoly's paper money),
simply go get the non-T, easy.

Or not so easy.... So far the only manufacturer that I know of that is not going to use the T model is Minix... are there others that you know of besides Minix.

I'm only asking for other people really... personally I don't mind paying for higher quality parts like Minix seems to provide. I already have a NEO x7 on the way for my own use.

and the thred where it was from:

The AnTuTu and dfvs information in my previous message correspond to 720p 1.8ghz ram 1500mhz kernel.
Please don't pay your attention that kernels had been tested were compilled for sticks and didn't support my onboard LAN. The main idea was to test overclocking ability only.
Thank you very much for your friendly intention to help me

                            For KitKat ROMs only

Here is a kernel that will output to DMESG the chip type and will overide the 1.4 GHz limit for T chips to 1.6 GHz

                            Kernel is AP6210 standard wifi, 1.8 GHz (1.6 for T models), 1080 resolution, 720 DDR, 600 GPU

I have tested on a 'standard' RK3188 and can confirm this boots and outputs the message to DMESG but can't test the T overide

Nice... I hope that it will work...

Btw, is it possible to get 720p kernel? Not now, but if this will work.
