    Has anyone else encountered screenfreezes? Since I installed 1.9 I encountered this multiple times, especially when it was connected to the power socket:

    Click image for larger version

Name:	pipou8-screenfreeze.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	124.1 KB
ID:	431908
    The only way to get out of it is to use the reset button.

    Any Idea, what may cause this?

    btw: the same clicking also appears, when you turn on the camera - but if you mean a different click: it's not normal.

      Titanium Backup

      Thanks for the Rom! I installed it and all works fine!
      I do have a problem with titanium backup, if I want to restore my apps and data, titanium backup asks for each app my approval to install. Can't i do this in a faster way?

          liitle off-topic, but, will there be customized "U8T 3G" firmware in near future?

          thanks!

            I have not seen a firmware available for that device.

            On a second note...the T Chip presents with many challenges for ROM developers that could prevent me from even making a bootable custom firmware. I'm still learning what is necessary to work with this variation of Rockchip's 3188.

            If you've already purchased one...I wish you good luck with it...but for now I suggest holding off on these T Chip devices for now.

              no, i didn't purchase it yet (and if i want, i cant - there is 10 day holyday). but i'm looking at that model because it is fast processor, 2gigs of ram and it have sim card slot installed. no need for manipulation and experimentation with external 3g dongles. and, "the" purpouse, it is for my parents.

              but, do you really mean that that "T" letter is for that new 3188 chip? at pipo's FB site, they told me that only difference is that "T" model is voice calling capable. just as m7pro 3g and m7 3g. all the same, just voice function plus.

              so, now you warried me little bit. BTW, is that U8 so much different than all other 3188 models?

              thanks!

                Do we know what is changed in de fw? I use 1.9 and its eating up my battery like yum yum,*i can't experience a wifi advantage!
                Maybe I'm better off with fw 1.8?

                  I'm having the same issue with battery life without having such a improvement with wifi. Is it possible to know which file has to be edited and how, in order to having wifi consuming less power?

                    This will be much appreciated if it is something easy to change and give us the instructions.

                    Thank you very much for your work.

                      That process is a little too complicated to explain...really. I've been waiting on a new firmware to work on...hopefully soon from Pipo.

                      1.8 doesn't have that tweak. You might try it and see if it makes a battery difference.

                          Hi Randy, we use this trick since december for the Pipo M9Pro. Are you speaking about that process ?

                          I have looked into your nvram_AP6476.txt and it seems the same (our dev has modified the triso2g and swctrlmap_2g. What is the best? This is for M9pro...). Did you modify other lines ?

                          pa0maxpwr=100

                          triso2g=8
                          #triso2g=0

                          swctrlmap_2g=0x04040404,0x02020202,0x04040404,0x01 0101,0x1ff
                          #swctrlmap_2g=0x04040404,0x02020202,0x02020202,0x0 10101,0x1ff

                              so we have just to edit nvram txt decreasing wifi power from 100 to 76?

                                That would bring it back to the original setting.
