The U8 is the only one that charges by USB. The M7 Pro has an external charger.

I'm kinda busy until later tonight, but I will try the USB hub configuration and report.

        Problems

I got this errors reporting on screen every second. I probably flashed wrong the Rom or something.

Should I re-flash the rom or can I do something else in order not to lose all data and apps?
(Servicios de Google Play = Google Play Services .
        I'm in RileyROM v 1.8. Thanks

Under settings/apps...go to Google Play Services and clear the cache/data. You will need to enter your account information again. That should fix the problem.

Sounds like you need to flash again. Be sure to erase IDB to clear everything and start from scratch. I hope you have a Titanium backup.

                Hello Riley!

Have you had the opportunity to test this?

Sorry, I haven't. I had a few ROMs that I needed to publish.

                  I will try it tomorrow.

I have been reading the Unofficial TWRP 2.7.0.0 for Rockchip's and it is not clear to me whether there is a working TWRP with your KK roms 1.8 & 1.9
I 've seen your posts "I'm testing the M7 Pro and U8 versions right now...quite an improvement over the alpha...but still a little rough. We still have some screen refresh issues on the menu, and the file manager doesn't show any folders. Once we get this fixed, we can move to the M6 Pro next, if that's OK with Abdul_Pt.", and I've also seen different links and mentions of "generic update of 1024x600 RK3188".

So, is there a working (even if it is a little rough) TWRP that you can use to take nandroid of your 1.8 & 1.9 KK and then successfully restore it?

If it is not much trouble, could you post a link of the best working TWRP version for our U8 and some basic instructions how to add it to an existing rom (i.e. no new flashing)? Perhaps add it on the 1st post for everyone to find?

                    Thanks mate!

Abdul is still working on the screen issues. I tested another version the other day. As soon as we get a reliable version, I will post further instructions and a link.

UPDATE: it seems that it is more complicated than i thought because i tried to edit the file and i got an error that it can not been saved (obviously because it is used from the system)...
Nope, you just need to enable RW (read-write) for /system.

I have looked into your nvram_AP6476.txt and it seems the same (our dev has modified the triso2g and swctrlmap_2g. What is the best? This is for M9pro...). Did you modify other lines ?

tried this. didn't change anything for me.

                          Has anyone tried external usb-wifi-dongles?

Or the soldering solution for the M9 Pro? U8 and M9 pro Wifi-antennas look pretty much the same.. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...n-instructions

I have heard that Huawei E1750 works right away. I have tried myself with a Huawei K4505 and a ZTE K3565. Huawei K4505 was not recognized, while ZTE K3565 seemed to behave better: I had a network icon on the notification bar and all the APNs of my provider (VODAFONE) were displayed. Everything looked good except for a little detail: I had no internet connection. I went about it trying for a little while, with no success. When I got bored and frustrated enough, I removed it and tried to re-enable my wifi. This send me to a endless boot-loop and eventually to a re-flash

So, only tethering for me now...

How can I enable multiple users on this ROM? The usual method doesn't work because the system folder won't remount:

                              su
                              mount -o rw,remount /system
                              echo fw.max_users=8 >> build.prop
It's a shame this series of ROMs never has multiple users enabled. I could change it successfully on earlier versions though so it didn't matter.

Actually, in KitKat the multi user feature is turned off...deep in the system...and I haven't figured out how to edit that part. I've seen some posts on how it's done, but the file names and settings don't match what's in these Pipo ROM's.

The good news is that there is an Xposed Framework Module that will activate multi user and it works quite well. Just install the Xposed Framework and browse their repository for the multi-user module.
