When watching 1080p movies I get freezing of picture then the system reboots. Also while watching live tv streams the box just goes to sleep after a while. Is there a work around for these two problems I'm having?

The first issue sounds just like when a user has OC'd their device too much... using a slower OC kernel usually solves that. The second issue is covered in the recommended settings given in one of the first posts about this release... I suggest you re-read them.

Please, we want to make a specific kitkat rom for the x7 mini, but we don't have the device, so I want to ask you for your help.
I need someone who have installed the quickshot V2 for MINIX X7-mini and some of the kernels that comes with this rom.

Please follow this steps:
1) Open terminal emulator and write exactly (case sensitive):

su
insmod /system/lib/modules/user-gpio-drv.ko
gpio dump gpio
dmesg>/sdcard/dmesg-x7-mini.txt

2) In the root of your sdcard you will have a file called dmesg-x7-mini.txt.
3) Upload the file to any place and give me a link to it in pm or in this thread.

tried different cables, HDMI ports

We have a beta rom to be tested in X7 mini. Please if someone wants to try it pm me or the other teams members, and we will give you the link. Remember that the rom was not tested because we don't have the device. So please be sure that you know how to return to your stock firmware.

Have you installed the big icons patch in a 720p kernel?

If not I can only say that reflash again, something was wrong in your flash.

tried the stock rom and kernel_cpustock_gpustock_ddr720.img

Is it based on the new 3.1 you're doing on x7?
I'm interested on trying it! Only thing I have to search to search how to return to stock though... I'm a nube here but I'm pretty sure it's mentioned in the forum... Let give it a try...

Problem diagnosed re. screen glitching
bad HDMI connector!
with a thin cable, no strain is put on the connector - all works fine
with a thick HDMI cable - it puts a little strain on the connector and I get glitching.
