What do you mean by reflash? The whole rom or just the patch?
I reflashed the patch and the connect to pc stuff keeps being enabled :S

reflash the whole rom, from a pc, ensure you do a erase idb before flashing.
also, remember there are two versions of this rom, one for neo x7 and other for x7mini, recheck you have the correct one.

Can't wait to try and flash this when I get my new x7mini delivered - a stable and clean team-driven community-rom is worth more then gold nuggets. In fact Quickshot v2 is part of the reason I even ordered the device to begin with (even thought stock might be ok as well).

One suggestion:

Add donation links for each of your team (or the team as a whole) at your starting post or something. It's a bit struggeling to get 'em together.

Ok got my Mini and Quickflash v2 up and running.

So far stable and smooth with the 1080p - 1700cpu, gpu default, 720ram oc-kernel flashed.

Bugs I found so far:

Enabling KeyMapper Keyboard in the Android Settings and then starting the KeyMapper App afterwards leaded to a Shutdown once - had to pull the cable to get it to run again. Not sure if it 's persistent as I don't really use it yet.

Pressing Shutdown in the Statusbar and then choosing Shutdown takes a while then it displays "Empty Flash Card" or something (dont know the correct message right now - I'm at work atm) and freezes without ever shutting down.

Tips:

Rom Toolbox Pro works with this Rom. You can f. e. change the Bootanimation with it even if it does say it might not work and that you should use the Rom Manager Pro (which this Rom does not work with) - it does perfectly - just select "Custom CWM 3.x Recovery" in the settings for Rom Toolbox Pro.

Smart Launcher seems the best in terms for usability and functionality for a Google TV box paired with Minimalism. Seems pretty stable and well developed. The only downside is that there are not as much high quality Themes out yet like for example the Nova Launcher. But the default Theme itself is pretty nice - basically you only need a good Wallpaper to make it look pretty neat.

Extracting the official Minix Roms (f.e. for the original Minix cursor) ->
RK3xxx Firmware Tools by mo123 (can even extract the System.img contents)
imgRePackerRK from RedScorpionXDA for RK29, RK30 and RK31 Devices

CWM Mousecursor Replace-Script via update.zip - I've already prepared it to reflash the original Minix Cursor as I like that one better. I'll upload it later as it seems no one did that yet - right?

Questions:

I flashed a 1080p kernel. While the output seems more crispy (can't complain even in front of my 40' screen) the HDMI-Settings only shows a resolution up to 1280 × 720p - 60fps (1080p oc - 1700cpu, gpu stock, 720ram). Is that intended, a bug or is something not working as intended? I'm 99% sure I flashed an 1080p kernel.

Conclusion up to now:

Everything seems pretty smooth. A whole world better then f. e. the MK808B. MK808B runs like an egg-cooker when compared to this device with the Quickshot v2 ROM flashed.

I'll add some long term usage reports later on.

Edit - Minix Cursor:

update-minix-cursor.zip

Replaces the cursor with the default Minix cursor from the latest stock ROM. As the name suggests rename to update.zip and flash with CWM (make an backup beforehand). Gonna add some alternative high quality cursor zips later on.

If you flashed a 1080p kernel and it is detected like 720p kernel, then you must have overlay enabled in build.prop

With this rom if I turn the box off I can't seem to power it back on via the power button on the remote. Any suggestions?

Ahhh from the REMOTE I thought you were talking about a power button on the device. I don't know - the shutdown functions ain't working for me either. It just freezes and nothing ever happens until it turn it off manually (both from the Reboot.apk as well as from the Statusbar).

Thought I think I remember that pressing the Powerbutton on the A1 I have to hold it a while and then it turns it into standby mode - never shuts it down. I'll test that when I get home.

Hello all

I'm new here as you see

I bought a X7-mini and tried Hardwareguru and Quickshot on it.

On both I have the problem that 1080p and even 720p movies in XBMC stutter every second or two...
Even on quickshot with 1704cpu_798gpu_800ddr i have a choppy 720p/1080p experience...?

I use the optical audio out and enabled Rockchip SPDIF, audio plays just fine.
There is no difference if the statusbar is hidden or visible, also not if I enable or disable subtitles.
If I watch the stats while playing a 1080p movie all of the cpu's are around 5-10% so HW accelerating should work.

I tried the on board XBMC by nitroteam and beyond xbmc 3.3, on both the same...
Also I play my movies from USB disks that are formated in ntfs (relic form my first setup with a atom/ion windows7 combination).

May someone has some more ideas?

Hello all!!

first I want to say thanks for this rom, I didnt have much time to test it, but so far I can say that the Mini come back to life.
But I have an issue with XBMC, the first two days everything worked with no problem. I even watched The Hobbit in 1080p through wifi with no problem at all. And some other movies and tv show stored across different PCs on my home network.
And now comes the bug. Now only with XBMC I cant access the hard drives over the network. I can add the directories I want in xbmc, but when I click on any source over the network XBMC just crash. For playing files locally works perfect.
Other players like BS player, Mx Player. All works ok for playing files over the network.

After XBMC started making that bug I tried Beyond XBMC, the update that it is published on this threat and the new XBMC 13 Beta 2. Sadly all make the same bug.

Any Ideas?

Por si no entendieron, el problema es solo con XBMC cuando trato de abrir las ubicaciones de red, no asi cuando las agrego. Al agregarlas me muestra todo el contenido de la ubicacion de red sin problema alguno.
Pero una vez agregadas las ubicaciones a la lista. Cuando trato de abrilas se tilda el XBMC. Probe con todas las versiones y ninguna funciono. Lo raro es que al principio funcionaba sin problemes y hasta vi peliculas de 10GB por medio del WiFi sin ningun tipo de problema.

Los otros reproductores funcionan bien.
