Hello TNT. I registered on this site to say thanks for this awesome ROM. My first experience with rooting and installing custom ROMs and your instructions were great. I am currently running 1704/stock/720 and its a dream. Makes the Minix a consumer product and one I would recommend. Has WAF in my home.

I used stock v006c (4 months) to stock v8 (2 hrs) then QV2 (3 days). I began using RK Android app then a Tronsmart TSM-01 (after 3 mths) and was getting at least 2 force shutdowns a day. Since loading your ROM (for about 3 days) I have had zero. Only one force close of XBMC under heavy load - media scan and tTorrent running.

The positives for me of Quickshot v2:

    1. No shut downs
    2. No lag / judders in OS / Apps / App switching / Beyond XBMC
    3. No lag on air mouse movement or click
    4. Super quick app loading / XBMC

    The not so great:

    1. Drift / lack of directed movement on TSM-01 air mouse
    2. Install did not go smoothly first time - on connecting Wifi did not progress to GMail screen - had to skip out these steps. Reflash worked second time so no big deal. Just FYI. Note selected English (Australia) if that helps.

    A few questions please:

    1. Will Litry's link on pg 1 help with air mouse drift for TSM-01 (states its for Melef10/reboots)? Will it be flashed on top of my current kernel? If I changed to stock/stock/720 would I need to rerun this? If I don't like this change how to remove.
    2. Do I reboot into recovery to do CWM? Does this backup ROM / kernel /apps? To restore wold I need to run your RKtool first then enter recovery or just recovery. Asking you because I did not fully understand after my research online.

    Again thanks so much!!!!!!!!
Hi, glad to see you like the rom.
First of all, I will make a patch to go back for the people that flash the f10pro patch.
But in the meantime you can do this :
Reboot to recovery by using the reboot app we provide, yes that app down in the launcher.
make a cwm backup to external sd.
    Reboot
Apply the f10 patch using quickflasher app, to do this just copy the patch to the folder /sdcard/quickflasher without uncompressing it, then just open quickflasher select the patch, apply and reboot.
The patch doesn't affect to kernel.
    hope this helps.

Are you sure that you had installed the right ROM for your device, there are one for the x7 and other one for the mini.

                    xbmc 12.4 question

                    Gents,

Great ROM. After reading here, I ordered a mini and have flashed it.

After playing around with various xbmc functions, it looks like 12.4 includes an add-on scraper called "Local Information Only" for TV, Video and Movies. There is no way to disable it through xbmc and it appears to keep it from getting information from IMDB, TheTVDB, etc.

It says the add-on is located in /data/data/hk.minix.xbmc/cache/apk/assets/addons/metadata.local

I can't find that directory in es3 to delete it.

Does anyone know how to disable or delete this option?

                    thx

Try to activate in es explorer the show hidden files option, then you can access to data/data, but I think that all the xbmc is in /sdcard/Android/data/hk.xbmc.minix/ so try to search there too.
I suggest to use beyond xbmc by flumpster v3.3 it works great

Found the file sitting in /data/data . . . and deleted. Still playing with the vagaries of xbmc. Thanks again for what you and the team is doing.

                            Hi Leolas,

I tried your left usb port patch but it doesnt work.
I flashed it according to instructions.
                            Although i could elaborate a bit on that for future users;

                            - Make a folder 'quickflasher' on /sdcard (built in memory)
                            - put the .zip there

Any other location wont work (unless you buy the app).

Its quite frustrating the two usb ports dont work out of the box, especially if you need to place the patch on the local filesystem without the help of a mouse/keyboard. My first use I always use a mouse /keyboard to quickly setup stuff.

Anyways even while i succsefully loaded the patch ('wrote to boot') it doesnt help.

                            Any other solution?

                            Thnx

go to system usb and untick the "connect to pc", try the usb and reboot. go again to same place, if "connect to pc" is ticked then you need to reflash.

What do you mean by reflash? The whole rom or just the patch?
I reflashed the patch and the connect to pc stuff keeps being enabled :S
