You should do just exactly step by step as I said above.
Yeah, you may use paper clip, needle is not a good choise though.
    Once tablet is off,
First connect, just connect only. And USB 2 only.
Second run program, just run only, do nothing else
Third depress Esc and then Power, hold them depressed until tablet detected by software. That's why RKBatchTool is mote easy. You'll see green square...
Once you see it flash stock firmware. It's more easy as well as you should not bother about loader version.
Once working on stock, you may flash Riley ROM as explained in guide

      Fantastic!

Great work ! It´s a really incredible ROM - you just have to perform flashing step by step as explained by Riley and you don´t will have any trouble with KitKat on the M7. Until now I didn´t recognize any faults ... to be honest I didn´t try any games .. I just started the "usual" Apps.

So Riley ... you´re the man !!! .. Thanks for providing this ROM (as well as all all other M7 ROMs) so quickly .

Pipo has fixed the issue with bluetooth and wifi. No wifi speed drops when using bluetooth headset! Now the bluetooth range is much better when wifi is on.
I thought this is impossible to fix because this is known bug in android. I can finally use bluetooth headset and play music from Spotify without sound quality and download speed issues. This is so great!

            where are my Contacts ??

Strange thing ... There's no contact app included in that ROM? Even an external contact App from playstore can't sync with my google contacts ... any idea what's the problem ?

Guys, has anyone tried switch to ART instead of Dalvik?

Just did and got AnTuTu > 21700 with very good stress test result too.
As for me only GPS need to be fixed for now and KitKat version will be perfectly usable until stable ROM come out from PiPo.

ART has been unstable on the M6 Pro KitKat, so watch it. You can read that thread for the details.

                      I will.
Installing RR3 for test right now. But noticed, despite deep sleep more or less fixed using partial flight mode. Tablet was connected via USB and battery drained dramatically without any activity.

Hi I cant get the permissions right to make this change Super SU and ES file explorer - i cant change any perms on the folders - system/lib etc nor the original .so file through rename or replace etc and am getting read only errors
My Titanium backups arent working either and wondered if root permissions have changed from JB to KK
                        or i am missing something?

outside of this the KitKat ROM is awesome - thanks for making this happen

If you are having trouble adding the libril-rk29-dataonly.so file on your own, I've made an update.

The link to v2.5.1 is on post #1.

That's the only change I made. No need to re-flash unless you are concerned with deep sleep.

kiwimark, I did it via adb.
Yes, KitKat is a way different and more complicated with rooting comparing to JB, but Riley ROM is already rooted. I've not tried to put files and change permisions this way as always do it using adb. However, Titanium Backup is workin for me quite well.
