Thanks Randy, not any issue at all - I just want to be sure to have performed flashing correctly.

Make sure mobile data is deselected in settings, wireless and network, mobile data. Also in WiFi advanced setting you can choose "never in standby". Another option is to leave flight mode on and just turn on WiFi when you wake up your device.

Hi randy! First at all I want to thank you for the great job with this rom. It is fast and smooth and it solved (or it seems to) my wifi disconnection problems, previously fixed with Wifi fixer.

I switched to ART mode and the tab is super fast. The only thing that i noticed is that when i reboot the tab it takes a long time (around 3 minutes) to update the apps. The first time i did it I was expecting it, the next not...

Is there something in settings i need to configure to make the boot faster?

Anyway, great rom, even if GPS is not working (but i don't use it on the tab)!

            psilocibe,
I have heard the same from other people and did test myself, I do not have such issue. Is it again matter of lucky and unlucky CPU?

Have anyone tried the different kernels posted earlier in this thread?
Any pros/cons with using them? Is the ddr800 kernels stable?

After the ROM install I am seeing that the device boots up automatically when I plug the power cord. Meaning the device has to on during carving... Does not make sense... Apart from this I am loving it...

Dennta, you know that with chinese devices it's a bit lottery. Everything depends on assembly quality and people who were working at factory that day your tablet came out. I'm using 1704CPU-720RAM kernel and happy with stability and performance. But this does not mean anything. It may not even boot on 'unlucky' tablet. You should try yourself only to get the answer.

cheeks80, not sure but all my android devices turn the screen on for some time when connected to the mains/charger and even just USB. It was like that on different phones/tablets with different ANdroid versions and different SoC

It's that way on all Rockchip tablets. Just press the power button to shut the screen off.

Yes I know the screen turns on in a normal scenario and shows the battery indicator. But in this case it boots to OS

OK, I've got what you mean. Yes, this is Rockchip specific and is not depending on RAM version. Even if you do hard reset and have tablet plugged into charger it will boot automatically.

Weird but I did not have this issue with jelly Bean based Riley ROMs...

What I am more afraid of is what will happen if the device discharges completely and later I am not able to charge since it cannot boot to OS

Yeah it changed with KitKat, maybe the new boot loader, I noticed also on m6pro. If you want to shutdown properly do it with charger unplugged.

Yeah, I know. I'm using rr 2.3 with 1704 cpu and 720ddr. But I haven't seen a kernel that has an overclocked CPU for rr 2.5. Is there one?

I saw that somebody had problems installing their titanium backup when changing to kitkat. Is that working properly for everybody else?
