I'll stay on Kitkat and no plan going back to JB. A lot of my most used apps and games run much better on KK. . GPS function of this tab is not important to me.

My new M6 Pro KK ROM has GPS support. If Pipo updates the M7 Pro, it should have it.

I had similar issues... I used Rockchip Batchtool to Switch to Flash mode using the Switch Button.
Then in the RK Batch Tool used the Erase IDB and then Flash. Worked for me...

Today i had the first major problem with the 2.5 version. I tried to use Mirror Display of what i see on the tablet, on my smart tv, and the tablet reboot! And tried again 5 times, same result. Anyone face that or have that? Any way to solve it?

          Ty in advance

Finally tried that JB version with new UI. Not worth even try as for me. No improvements at all. Work of GPS is the same as was in my case on all versions of JB. Launcher is nothing special and all those new widgets are useless, at least for me. Performance of WiFi and 3G is significantly worse than on KK.

Went back to my own mod ROM based on FNF IFive KK from Jan 25th. Working now on port of newer FNF KK ROM published on Feb 19th and waiting for proper stable KK from Pipo with all sensors operational..

I have the same conclusion that fazerg.

It is very interesting that you can port the last KK FNF Ifive to the M7Pro.
All sensors work with the port (minus GPS) ?

manao, I've just started port from KK dated 20th of Feb. Do not know yet. On previuos one from Jan 25th sensors were not working. Neither magnetic nor light. They all were shown with AOSP as manufacturer. I comsider these are kind of default Google open drivers which able only detect hardware.
Will check, what modules loaded now and install for a while JB to extract modules from there, probably some may start. It's pity, most module drivers are available in kernel sources for KK. However, driver for our display is missing completely and this makes impossible to build custom kernel for M7.

Same conclusion as me : "for now impossible to build a fully working kernel for the m7pro from sources" or even using blob drivers, be it for KK or for JB on top of that kernel.

For the sake of porting, I'll share this info.

I've found that the M9 Pro, M8HD and M7 Pro tablets are pretty interchangable with regard to firmware...if you flash the specific kernel for the device.

I've found that the M6 Pro firmware...by virtue of the fact that there is a different display resolution, and other different components...doesn't work on M7 Pro. There is way too much hardware difference.

                    I've tried it, myself.

I'm waiting for an update for either of the three tablets to hopefully make a ROM that will work on each. I thought there was an update for the M8HD last week, but found out that the firmware released from Pipo support to a customer was actually for the M6 Pro, and wouldn't boot on the M8HD.

I've asked Pipo support for access to their beta test firmware, but after 2 emails, I haven't received a Yes or No reply from Anna Ye.

                      Randy,
in my opinion if hardware is that similar new versions of KK may come out at almost the same time for all three tablets. Probably, M6 has different chip for WiFi-BT-GPS and this explains existing KK ROM with working GPS. But does not explain for me compatibility of other ROMs. In case original
BTW, with IFive ROMs I need to replace basically kernel and recovery + animations and slightly modify build.prop to make it Pipo
However, with IFive ports magnetic sensor and probably gravity are not working with M7, they are working on Pipo M7 KK beta ROM. Also tried to put three files needed to get GPS working. One binary, one xml and one library. On Pipo KK beta GPS test app is not even accessible from market. On IFive port the same app able to see GPS like working but unable detect satellites.
Have not noticed any options to choose GPS support for AP6476 while editing kernel config for compilation, you may only select this chip for WiFi/BT and turn on GPS support (or add also GPS drivers for rockchip but kernel fails to compile in such case).

That's good to know...good luck with your project.

Please advise anyone, Its a little off topic but I think the wifi of my m7pro has problem since it was accidentally sat down by my son and after that the wifi is not turning on. I try flashing to but it did not solve the issue, is it possible the wifi's module was damage. can someone show where to find the wifi antenna or module inside. I already try to open the case but I dont see any disconnected wire or something.

mgdj06, search forum for instructions of WiFi antenna improvement. Unfortunately, it might be a chip itself in your case. You can find it marked AP6476

Don't panic. You need to keep power button depressed and connect to PC with running BatchTool. Should be detected in maskrom mode. Flash stock ROM keeping button depressed at least until flashing starts.
