I've been three times and the results are still downloading files sistem.img can not extract
even though I've tried mengextactnya through winrar, winzip, izarct,7-zip still ...
please I'd love to do the root on my tab

try re-download. if it happens again, post it here. might be something Fin less needs to check out on his end.

OK I checked the file. I downloaded the ROM from the first post in this thread.
I had NO problems unzipping it at all.
As you can see by posts here frm other people, no one else had problems either with the download being corrupt.

So you have some issue downloading or something is up with your PC. Maybe try another browser or something like that.

OK. maybe I misunderstood, but ur not supposed to extract any .img files. there is a kit..
you use the utility provided to flash to device. all the .img's get flashed.

I'm a little confused is he trying to unzip the whole rom kit from the opening post, or just the system.img.

Also occasionally I can't download zip files over 1mb in a windows OS as the server I'm on messes up the data packets. So if your experiencing this you could try downloading from the tablet and then just move the file to the computer and go on from there, its what I do when i experience this problem .

Searching around and, I found a CWM Recovery that seems to fully work, except mounting usb storage under -mounts and storage in the recovery menu and some other things but I'm still testing, I found the recovery on this post.

I used just the recovery img from this zip and combined it with ROM -> Nextbook 7P S Resistive Screen ICS ROM 1.2 by Finless (200 megs).

- was able to successfully install the latest gapps ics zip through recovery.
- Backups & Restore seems to be working properly.

Can't update drivers in Win7

Please help...downloaded and following directions. Under "Drivers",#6. Device Manager does not allow to update drivers in Win7. When I go to Device Manager the option to install drivers is grayed out. Can I install them some other way?

were you already running ics finless 1.2? Now you have cwm running have you tried cm10jb?

He said he flashed it alongside the rom. You can however just flash cm10jb without reflashing the rom though.

Need some Win7 Driver help, please.

I'm no newb to windows, nor drivers, but these are killing me. Now, it's because of something I've done, and need some advice on getting unscrewed...

I have a Next7S / YF0312. I first flashed it with the update.img found within "n7p_rescue_kit" I WAS able to install the 64bit/Win7 drivers, no issues. This, I found, was the wrong img, as the touch screen was unresponsive. So, i then updated the firmware from this img, "NEXT7P-12 Netflix Update". This, was certainly not correct... as it won't boot at all. The real problem now is, Windows only says "USB Device not recognized" And it shows Unrecognized Device, under "usb serial bus controllers".

I've tried to update the driver manually, and pointed it at the x64/Win7 drivers, and it won't load them, saying the proper device for "Unknown Device", is already installed.

I've manually removed the drivers, rebooted, still no love.

Any ideas?
