I've no intention of playing with the beta source anymore. I published it exactly for this reason, so that people like NN99 can serve themselves (and/or others).

OK, I've uploaded the patched kernel here in case anyone is interested: http://www.filedropper.com/kernelpatchedtar

NOTE: these kernels will only work with AP6210 and RK3188 (NOT the T model).

No problem. I just checked and saw that RK1000 is set; I'll disable it. Thanks!

so.. for the T model there is no kernel patched? should i try kernel_cpustock_gpustock_ddrstock (will this help) or should i wait for d33's next update?
i my opinion finless 2.0 with d33 kernel is the best combo to use but to bad of this hdmi bug.

Sorry, I only compiled it for the non T-model. I can try to compile a T-model but it will probably be sometime this weekend.

As d33 stated he will not be releasing variants of this kernel moving forward (see above).

i will wait and appreciate if you could help me in your spare time.

The best thing to do right now is to wait and be patient. Finless and d33 have stated they are cooking some bacon (ROMs) us to munch, just gotta give it time.

Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse any typos.

D33's kernels does not boot at all

Device name — MK809III old style (RK3188/AP6210). I tried 4 different KK ROMs (Finless, Neomode, Geekbuying etc.) and all kernels work except of d33's. Finless' kernel 1080p works but it is so slow... When i flash any of d33's kernel i have only black screen. LED on attached mouse blinks every 30 sec, so i think there is boot loop. I would appreciate any suggestion. Thanks.

The following are kernels built against Rockchip sources provided to Freaktab on condition we don't publish (sorry!). These are intended to be used with the recent release of "official" ROMS (April 2014 onward) not beta ROMs (use v2.x/3.x for these)

                    Version 4.0 (TV Boxes)
                    • First working release
                    • RK100 support (Audio codec, TV out)
                    • HD resolution (1920x1080)
                    • Single kernel for all SOCs (this is overclock for RK3188T)
                    • CPU: 1.6 GHZ, GPU: 600 MHz, DDR: 720 MHz

                    AP6210/AP6330/RTL8188(VMAC)

                    OP updated

Please feedback if you have a TVBOX with a matching configuration:
                    • AP6210 wifi / RK1000 codec
                    • AP6330 wifi / RK1000 codec
                    • RTL8188 wifi + ethernet / RK1000 codec
NB. I've switched to a slightly newer compiler (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.8.2-16ubuntu4)

                      camera not working for GK525

                      Hi
have the GK525 and have installed noderats OC kernel. The system is running extremely smooth and 1080p video does not stutter so thank you very much for you hard work d33 and noderat!

I have an issue though where the camera isnt working, just wondering if anyone has flashed these kernels on their GK525 or equivalent and got the camera working? I would like to be able to keep using d33 kernels but somehow get the camera working.

                      Cheers

I tested this kernel with my CS968 (with MTK chips). Have to test only after midnight else face wife's annoyances

The good: best smooth kernel till now for my CS 968. My screen backout/"hdmi..." iappearing intermittently issues are gone with this kernel . Very happy about this and Antutu score of 18900+.
Was working beautifully when I had OTG connected along with the power adapter (3A).

MX player could play 1080p videos without any issues. It did not wor with 4K videos, all from external SD card.

I am using newly released ROM htc_t018_public_ap6210_CSQ_4.4.2_20140411 for CS968.

                        The not so good:
                        1. ethernet is not working. (Wifi/BT will not work since I have MTK chips on board).
                        2. stock remote no longer works. No big deal.
                        3. USB based mouse was not working in the usual USB port I used to use (one next to OTG). Luckily, I tried the other two USB ports and they worked.
                        4. power led light is very dim as compared to the bright one which is the usual. Not big a deal.
                        5. OTG seems to be needing power without with it is very unstable. I rebooted and removed the OTG and then it became very unstable. Any mouse clicks after rebooting, resulted in reboots.

So I see two major issues, ethernet and OTG needing power always.

Have anyone else seen these issues?

Also, I am struggling to get Su working in terminal emulator. ROM seems to be rooted but still getting "not allowed to run" error. Any guides?

Now Rockchip should only release Android KitKat sources(excl kernel) to Freaktab or the wifi patches for KitKat so that more devices can have better firmware/kernels.

                          Edit:
Rockchip just released the MT7601 Wifi patch for Android KitKat source.
                          They are the best!!!!!!!!!

Now we only need someone to compile KitKat from source with the included patch.

KitKat MT7601 Kernel and Android Sources

Jellybean MT7601 Kernel and Android Sources

RTL8723 Jellybean Kernel and Android Sources

The above KitKat MT7601 Patch also includes the ESP8089 wifi settings(some of them) that the newer devices use.

I'm trying to sort out a full ROM compile today but I've not done this before. Wasser is the master at this, I normally stick to just dabbling with the Kernel bit. Wasser does then whole end to end.

If I get it built you can tell me what bits you need then.

NB. I built a Jelly Bean kernel if that helps?

                                Hi d33

I uploaded the wifi patches to my previous post.

The Jellybean kernels that you compile, can you also share a config file for them? What source are you using? I see you already uploaded the kernel to another thread, will test it soon. I wonder why your JB MT7601 and my JB MT7601(unbootable) kernel are much smaller than the stock one which is 9.56MB?

I use the radxa rock kernel source but get no display with steak_defconfig and your KitKat config where I changed some HDMI settings.
I see the radxa rock Jellybean kernel source is the most updated at the moment and already includes the following patches
                                - MT7601 wifi support
                                - 1080p flickering issue fixed'
                                - restart bug, unstability fixed
                                - blue led instead of red
                                - RK3188(T) support
