3. additional customs taxes: It's up to your country, but often with DHL at Germany (also EU) you are at a higher risk to pay tax (instead of normal air mail) but I have really no idea how it will handle at Romania...

1&2. as I said, I'm ok, guess it was a miss understanding from my side, I realized it was kind of a stupid question, but yeah...don't worry.... I saw many people getting excited (like me......) about this new toy...

You can try at least to do what i do... i can only order and be sure that i will avoid customs if i get anything outside EU with local postoffice (the government one) here... everything else like DHL, UPS etc its 80% risk that customs will stop it and i had that problem 2 times and the overall price went to 150% including taxes.

Better seek in forums in Romania for this my friend to see what other people do.

I saw on Minix web page a romanian dealer, but they have astonishing high prices...checked also on a german dealer (talked to them yesterday afternoon on the phone), but they don't have yet the new items listed, they were expecting to list it in 1-2 days... and didn't wanted to wait more after searching forums for more than 2 months to see which is best model ...

Checked a bit on some romanian web sites, it seems that for for order values lower than 150 EUR the custom taxes are mainly related to the VAT (which is 24% here). So I guess I would expect to some extra 40 EUR, which would be fine in the end... all in all I would spend ~150 EUR.

Eric, I don't know if you are able to track all our discussions here, but for my order #3164453 I simply need the real amount on the invoice, the guys from the customs could easily check on the web what would be the price for it to be able to calculate the taxes.

Will the X8-H share the same problems as some other S802 devices? (Vega S89, M8, etc)

I am NOT NOT NOT going to cancel my pre-order for the X8-H and can't wait to receive it and I know that there will be defective units from any manufacturer and nothing is perfect 100% of the time BUT.... I see some posts where people were complaining about heat/HDMI/general odd problems with other boxes that use the S802 chip. I wonder if all these problems were because of first generation 802's.....crappy firmware from the manufacturer or low quality construction of the device. It's probably safe to say some people with these other S802 based boxes are not having problems but when I see stuff like this:

futeko.com is the one and only place to buy Minix products here in the UK IMO - Thats if you want a reputable seller that honours there warranty, and provide quick and understandable feedback - almost sounds like i could work for them dont it?! lol - but i bought both my Neo X7s from them, fastest postage for any android device ive ever bought, free postage, and when I bricked my box they sent me a replacement straight away - then when i accidently plugged in the wrong power supply and blew the box, they asked me to return the box without accessories - 2 days later had a brand new X7 at my door, boxed with all accessories, resulting in a spare PSU, remote, hdmi and otg cable etc - now thats customer service - buying my X8-H from them?! = NO BRAINER - for EU Buyers there well worth any extra expense to save on customs taxes and LOOOONNNGGG Shipping plus the headaches and months wasted returning faulty untested and unreliable goods back to you no who - resulted in $$$/months on end waiting for a resoloution -
