        Hi, im intrigued by this new toy, but i'd need a box which provides complete shut down when switched off (meaning, it turns completely off all ports) and can be re-switched on by remote.
        I know that Nagrace model can do it, but what about this Beelink?

        can someone who has it answer this, pls?

          If I power of my device via long press at IR (via the opening menu at long press) it also power off the USB (e.g. HDD)...
          But can't power it on (with the IR I use... it's another one (old rk3188) because the beta tester didn't got the stock IR)...

              4K resolution

              Hi,

              One of my friend has Samsung 55HU8500 4K TV and Beelink R89. He is using Belkin Hdmi 2.0 hdmi cable.

              Unfortuntely he cannot get 4K resolution in the android settings. He can see maximum 1080P 60h resolution.

              As far as i know beelink ready to suport 2160P 60HZ. Why we cannot get this resolution ? any idea ?

                Because of fail in EDID comunication,I guess..

                Advise:
                1.Try another HDMI cable..
                2.The latest ROM.
                Easy way to catch LOG -> Search 'Syslog' in Google Play,then install it and catch log

                    @oman, i'm about to order one R89, but i just read the following comment from http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Beeli...51931735.html:

                    After waiting 4 days to confirm payment and prepare package China Post Air Mail took only 7 days to deliver parcel. Impresive. For a plus it is newest version on PCB v3.0 with 100k4 firmware. But there are also downfalls. No auto Sleep after set time (i.e. 1 min). Sometimes there are some micro stutters (mouse freeze for part of the second and sounds are interruped). It is especially evident when CPU governor is set to "ondemand". Luncher3 isn't configurable but other may use default one. Internal data partition is too small (only 2GB). I can't install i.e. Horn game. But these issues could potentially be resolved with firmware update.


                    Are the problems pointed out by the buyer known ones or is this just a bad batch?

                          I read about the little bit better picture quality at amlogic devices because of the amcodec (hw-acceleration at XBMC) BUT I read also often about to disable it at s802 because of this problems with amcodec so in my eyes you lost this advantage and I observe for month that they try to fix it....
                          At the rk3288 I don't read about this problems (but at the moment about path-through which I think they will be able to fix in the next time)...

                            Ok, thx for your replies and views. Personally i think rk3288 can be used to much more than smooth video since it's fast. Gaming and apps would run smooth on this i assume. I need a good Android gaming device for me and my kids as well as other entertainment these boxes can offer such as YT, tv channels in xbmc, photo slideshow etc... so yeah, i need a all in one solution really. Just ordered Tronsmart mars g01 since it was recommended by u guys....Whats the hdmi pass through thingy? Like hd sound from source , say 1080p movie file on usb disk, would not output hd sound using spdif to an hd receiver? Sorry, i'm no a/v guy...

                              I didn't seen with my eyes any AmLogic device in my life but I heard from Finless Bob that these have superior image quality than RockChip devices. If you are intersted in almost exclusive video playback and do not plan to use these generation of devices with 4k monitor (HDMI 2.0) then you should consider AmLogic as a better choise. RK3288 hase only performance advantage in CPU (Cortex A9 vs A17 about 50-60% performance increase) and GPU (Mali450MP8 vs Mali T-760MP4 - 2-3 time better) departament and not VPU (Video Procesing Unit) and HDMI 2.0 isn't throughly tested.


                              But know that it will be forward thinking to buy player with H.265 decoder. Therefor you should look for AmLogic S812 devices rather than S802.
