uhm... I read that trying to go back to 4.2.2 from 4.4.2 can brick the x7.

But... for example, now I'm on Finless 1.9. I did a nandroid backup using twrp.
if I flash Quickshot 3.1 and then I want to go back to finless, can't I simply restore the nandroid backup as I always do on my mobile?
Does it work in a different way on x7?

Often people that attempted to revert to JB from a KK Rom... THINK they have bricked it but they didn't... there is a procedure outlined in this thread as well as others that tell how to revert and how to correct one that they thought were bricked... It's been a bit since it was posted... but you should find it with a search of this thread and/or forum.

I don't believe a nandroid backup/restore can address the different partition sizes that JB and KK have.

Is spdif passthrough really working in this rom? Does it give real 5.1, with subwoofer and rear speakers working?

You are correct... when you use the power button on the stock remote... it sleeps and the blue led does blink.

This is not the case on mine. I have been using the remote but it only does screen off. The led stays solid blue.

I installed this app from Google store to put QS 3.1 to sleep

Not sure if it works, seems to. Also the power button on A2 puts to sleep.

THANK YOU! I use the Logitech K700 keyboard and I just map this little app to one of the unused keys and voila! it puts it to sleep mode (blue light blinking)!

This will work for now until they officially support kitkat and the standard, stock sleep mode gets implemented (like in QS2) so it actually sleeps after idle time again .

It isn't broken... there is nothing to fix. I suppose you could recompile it without that requirement... or just use a version that doesn't have it such as the one that comes with the QS3.1 ROM already

I have a problem updating XBMC. I'm trying to install XBMC 13.2 but when I open the file it says " ERROR: This device is compatible only for Minix devices".. of course i'm using minix x7 with qs v3.1..any words of wisdom? Is there a way to update XBMC to 13.2?

Sounds like you got the Minix version which is tied to their own ROM

Are you certain about that daemonium? ....

The reason I ask is that Hiren's is a WinPE and normally requires a special driver setup in order to install the drivers ( I usually call them a floppy install, but it's what is used during a normal Windows setup and on XP it requires a floppy disk )... If Hiren's doesn't already come with the drivers preloaded ( which it may ), it may be beyond many users to create a proper set of drivers that allow them to install in WinPE.

I seldom used or recommended Hiren's since it's known to have contain wares ( contains copyrighted software without the permission of the authors )... unless they've cleaned up their act.

a workaround for those who have problems with Windows 8 is to boot a pendrive or dvd/cd with "hirens boot", choose mini Windows xp and do the normal steps for installation on win xp.
