It seems that the back button is being pushed (by the device itself somehow) at random times, usually about 10 - 15 minutes apart.

So I will be watching something in MX Player and it will just stop and go back to the previous screen.
I will be browsing youtube and it will go back to the previous menu.
I will be browsing the internet and it will go back to the previous webpage.
I will be in an app and it will go back to the homescreen.
    Etc...

I have tried taking the batteries out of the remote, and this still occurs. I have force closed all apps. Tried a restart or two. I'm starting to think I need to do a fresh flash.

It's as if the back button is being triggered internally by the system at random (but at least 5 - 6 times an hour)

Any ideas? This is making my Minx unusable for video.
Maybe interferences, did you try moving your device? I had some interferences but moving my devices solve my problem.

    Identifys as phone

    Hi!

After installing this rom, my minix identyfies as a phone on my homenetwork, with name: rk30sdk.

Now i cant access movies thru smb in xbmc anymore, connection times out.
Do anyone know how to solve this? With the other rom, it worked fine.

    EDIT:

I can access movies on the network thru ES fileexplorer, but not xmbc or spmc

    Regards
    Jonas

Yes, as far I know the flickering is a combination of ITE chip, HDMI cable and TV . But I can't reproduce the issue with my rk devices, HDMI cables and TV.

Daemonium and me have tons of cables in our homes, so we test them and luckily he found one that works well for him. If you have various cables in home, test with them, the defective cable used in the rk3188 will work great in other devices.
If you don't have any more HDMI cables, then buy a good one, Sony, or Philips, or other well known branded cable, but I can't assure you it will work, sorry but I can't concrete more

Sorry for asking again about this but have no clue and for me all hdmi cables are same except the lenght

So the easy way to solve the problem is try with various HDMI cables until found one that works, I can't reproduce the problem in my devices, I am a lucky guy, Daemonium had the same problem in his device and he solved it with other HDMI cable.

Hdmi port change also didn't work. In one TV I have flickering issue. Still testing different kernels but no luck yet.

Is there a safe way to return to minix stock rom without bricking?

EDIT: The white lines are not full lines, are small flashes random in screen rarely and visible only when background is dark.

I have downloaded the kernels. I am trying to use the 1080p. Is there a "wise" way to test them or just randomly and probably one wont flicker?

Also in case this issue still happening is there a guide how to return to official NEO_X7_20140101 ?

    Thanks a lot.

    EDIT:

So i get 1s blackout every sometime (1 every 2-3 minutes maybe, sometime less sometime more, not so predictable).
I feel that before trying the kernels pack I was getting less blackouts, not sure though. Also after starting trying kernels pack I see some random white lines in the screen (especially when QS3 logo loading and white lines are easy to spot).

Also sometimes do 2 blackouts in the row (having 1-2 seconds difference one with the other.)
Use a good quality HDMI cable... between the blackouts and the white lines, it's more likely the cable causing them ( if you've made sure they were plugged in good already on both sides )
