    Hi Leolas, Nitro team,

i've been trying for a while to recompile a kernel of my own without much luck. I'm only interested in getting a driver for my touchscreen in.

May I ask that one of you guys take those 2 files, and compile your kernel with them by any chance?

I would really, really, really appreciate!!! Beer would be on me next time for sure...

    thanks

Have you tried the init.d script that comes with ROM to mount cifs points?
I haven't, I don't know where to find it or use it.

EDIT: I just read this on the first post: "NFS example script included under /system/etc/init.d , just edit to suit your needs and you will have your nfs shares mounted every boot."

    I will try that.

Just to be clear... the quotes were messed up starting with dashdot's post ( they had edited them incorrectly, messing up the quote tags )...

I didn't ask for the info... dashdot had. So both my own reply ( which I've now fixed the quote on ) and leolas's are directed at dashdot and say the same thing.

Make certain you are getting the proper ROM for your device... the X7 and the X7 mini use different wifi/bluetooth chips which is why there is a QS3.1 for each one.[/QUOTE]
Right. Xu and x7 mini has his own ROM and kernels packs.

Are you sure that it is a real x7?

My computer doesn't really recognize the Minix X7 properly. Rkdevicemanager and all the other devicemanagers can't detect the x7. Windows can... but the drivers are not properly installed. I tried uninstalling the drivers to install the proper drivers but it doesn't work... it just either says I have the latest drivers or they can't find the drivers when I direct them to the driver folders.

    Pleeeeze help me.
Please, try the steps in the video from the first post carefully, it works always for me, if the x7 is not recognized, change the USB cable, change the USB port, or try in other PC.

I am fairly new to andorid devices, xbmc, Minix neo x7 and using custom roms.

I was wondering, can i upgrade to 011 version of firmware for x7 minix neox7, and do i lose all my settings, setups and installed apps by doing that?

Or does this quickstot v3.1 custom rom has upgrade to 011 firmware embedded inside?
When you flash an official firmware, you always loose your settings.
