Finally i found what is happening here, the libmedia in the zip attached by Tode is actually from qs3 not from qs3.1. Did the comparison with diff and are equal. So i think he's on qs3 not qs3.1, probably something went wrong on the update process and resulted in not being updated at all.

Ok, that actually happened to me. I updated my kernel and then redo the update and that fixed it.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but with one of my TVs when I switch to the x7 HDMI output I get black & white picture noise, I have to power off the TV and power it back on. Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem or perhaps there's just something wrong with my setup.
I have tried different HDMI cables by the way, same issue.

Have you tried the new kernels for people with flickering?

              My apologies.
              Anyway I don't understand why...
I will restart another time from scratch, maybe using linux,

                Hello,
I recently upgraded to qs 3.1 with a clean install but I'm still experiencing the screen size bug. Every time it restarts I have to adjust it. I'm having doubts whether I reflash qs 3 by accident now. How do I check which version I have?

Ok, I flashed QS3.1 and I can confirm that ac3+dts passthrough via HDMI is working as expected.
But now I have a problem with my favorite app (Videopass - an app to watch MotoGP races in live streaming and on-demand - see here): I get an error like "can't play video" and the video doesn't start at all.
So I think I will come back to QS3+quickflasher update because this ROM was the only one that plays smooth the live session without problems,

I seemed to wrote it ....

I installed (at least I think ) 1080p cpu1800-gpu798h-ddr720 and it works without flickering
                      so perfectly.

Unique - and bearable - exceptions, small white stripes in ES File Explorer on the left side dark gray, and flickering, quite apparent, in TWRP recovery

The ROM is also very fast, especially when you start to machine off ....
I want to say, and there and there is not an impression...

                      ----
                      How strange ...

reading the various speeches, I realize that the Minix Neo X7 has not a unique behavior for everyone: who complains about a flaw, who complains another ...

How so? Perhaps components identical in project, but made stock/different factories?

                        streaming apps in XBMZ

                        Guys,
Thumbs up for the fast rom you have created!

Now i seem to have some connection issues with two streaming music apps/plugins i've installed in xbmz, sky.fm and jazzradio.com. When i open these apps, a message pops-up, stating it cannot connect to the internet. The internet/lan connection seems to be allright, since another app 'shoutcast' streams normally.

Hope you could give some advise, otherwise i might install another xbmc-apk, though i like the speed of xbmz! Cheers

Seen this myself, often with (badly written) apps that are designed for phones. They do not recognize an active ethernet connection. I got this error once with TuneIn Radio. I closed ethernet, started wifi, let it connect and switched again. Was fine after that!

                            agree ...
although xbmz is very reactive, some plug-ins (important fort me) do not work ...
Now I try to uninstall it, saving origina XBMZ apk and install xbmc 13.0

                            PS
can be carry pieces of code that enable the mouse in CWM on the excellent TWRP?

                            PPSS

it's possible settings backup XBMC/XBMZ? If so, how?

                              New Box

I just got a new box with stock android 4.2 firmware and I don't want to make a mistake when I flash this rom. Do I do an upgrade or recovery to the box. Thanks.

                                Hi !

over the weekend I moved from QS2 to QS3.1 and got a totally new, blazingly fast Android box,
that is my ol' X7 !

You guys (and KitKat ) are really great and changed completely my experience with the
box, from curses to big smiles .
Using previous JB firmwares the X7 was slow and prone to frequent, temporary lockups,
and many times the internal SD card was reported as damaged so that format was required.
I am still unsure if my unit has a defective flash (often got errors in dmesg),
although flashing a new firmware always succeeds, and QS3.1/KitKat did not exhibit any flash fault so far ... Does anyone know of a flash utility to assess if the flash is faulty or not ?

The only minor issue encountered so far in the fantastic QS3.1 is related to audio,
as sometimes the box loses audio output (the X7 is connected over HDMI to a Marantz A/V receiver) and I need to switch among the different audio output options in the Sound Manager (I finally choose the last one with passthrough working). Most of the times this is enough to get sound working again, although a few times I had to reboot.
AC3/DTS passthrough normally works both in Mx Player and the Nitro XBMC,
and I'd love to have audiophiles sampling rates/resolutions (96/24 or 192/24) working through HDMI passthrough as Windows/Linux are capable of (and some Android HW/SW can do this with USB DACs).

In short, huge kudos to the QS team !
I don't think your firmware can get any better, but can you prove me wrong ?
