The sound issue with it defaulting to the A2 ( or other ) is how KitKat handles the sound output... the NitroTeam did address it with the remotes that were reported to have the issue but if the remote wasn't reported... obviously they didn't know it did it.... There is an app called SoundAbout in the play store that should help you address the issue for now.

The navbar behaviour is by design ( for KitKat ) which changed how it works... again some work-arounds have been posted already... I suggest you read the thread ( or use the forum search ) .... I actually mentioned one sound app that may help with the other issue... I won't repeat the suggestion again.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will give them a try.

The camera issue is a ROM issue as it was not present in QS2/stock and relates to the general brightness of the output of the camera in any app. Not a specific app problem. I am using a Logitech C525 which I believe to be officially supported by MINIX and one of the more popular devices used with the X7.

Has anyone had any luck in fixing the camera? Thanks

I just thought I'd share the issues I'm having so far :
    1. The camera is very dark, it seems that the exposure is set way too low by default. And this can't be adjusted in Skype making video calls impossible. I think this should be listed as a known bug in the first post. I may need to flash back to QS2 until this is fixed.
    2. The audio input and output defaults to the Sage Airmouse (Minix A2) after reboot.
    3. There is no option to permanently hide the navbar or disable the touch sounds.
Other than that it is way faster than QS2!

I do have flickering so I am using the fixed kernel, the no-sound-after-passthrough is unrelated, unfortunately...
