You're not gonna believe this - flashed the zip, rebooted, got the resistive touchscreen calib. Now heading back to restore from cwm

Just install the zip ok , do not wip cache.
                Just install and reboot.
Offcourse with a working system without the callibration screen.
I tested it with a fresh flashed installation.
After flashing first setup the startupwizard.
Then reboot to cwm and install the zip
It must work because i tested it and it works 10000 %

I did just install the zip in cwm & reboot, no wiping of cache, nothing - went straight into resistive calibration. Now struggling even to get it back into cwm recovery - doing the usual but just keeps rolling onto main boot.

                  Confused & slightly frustrated

Hang on, so what you're saying that I need to install the modified framework first before flashing the build.prop zip?

                  Comment

Nope, whatever I do now I cannot get it back into cwm to recover after flashing just the build zip. Guess i'm gonna have to re-flash & then recover.

Are the zip files on ext sd.
Its the same what you install first.
                      But one by one.
Whit other words install one and reboot

Yup. had it on ext sd. I have only tried the build.prop as that's what I was interested in. Framework I wasn't so bothered about. As I've used cwm on many devices i'm used to flashing zips. Did that only using the build.prop, no cache wiping of any kind, rebooted, got resistive calibration.

I have not used the modified framework. Now re-flashing & then will restore from cwm backup. But am slightly confused with the result.

Does your modified framework remove the resistive calib? Sorry- I know you've demoed this on YT & i've watched it, but apart from the change in effects what's the difference?

I don't see how...drop build.prop.zip onto ext sd card, reboot into cwm, select file, flash, reboot...resistive calibration.

Well these are my results anyway

Just tested again whit my existed system already moddified.
                              And rebooted just fine.
I don't understand this situation from you

ok, strange result here. Upon re-flash & restore of my cwm backup I thought i'd take a punt & re-flash the build.prop.zip - technically on a fresh install. Rebooted & got the capacitive setup & all ok.

I'm no expert but you confirmed fine running on a fresh install - perhaps there is some kind of conflict using this as a form of update, for doing it after having a settled rom made the resistive calibration appear.

No matter - hopefully will be embedded in final. Just gonna hobble off and check the data input file to make sure it is the right code. I don't mind being a guinea pig with these things - it all comes good in the end, and besides I cannot programm anything for toffee, i'm simply a user!
