Arnova 10b G3 with EXT4 and CWM - BETA 2 ROM

Yup, def got some weird battery things going on. Was just using tab playing a game - kept checking & was at 48%. Plugged in to charge before bed, shot up to 61% - so something ain't kosher here as they say.

Bob? snakekiller - any ideas? Battery stats need wiping / calibrating or some other kind of issue? Didn't appear to have this in either stock, kasty or pre adding the build.prop this afternoon.

As always help appreciated & answers on a postcard please...

Try this. Go into clockwork recovery and the advanced menu. Wipe the battery stats. See if that helps.

If not then go into /data/system and delete the batterystats.bin file and reboot.

Did that, got a resistive screen config the other side after reboot. Used cwm to get system back up. Think I might leave the testing for a while

my first working modded framwork-res.apk

Ok here is my first working modded framework.res apk.
Finally i got it working.
Whats the difference ...
In some programs the ics loading circle is bleu.
Pages in programs go from left to right.
Notifications go up from down center and go away to down center.
And other effect when a program is opened and you touch on the home button.

How install it ?

With rootexplorer go too system/framework
Rename framework-res.apk too framework-res.apk.old
You got messages that some things stopped with working.(don't worry)
Now copy my modded framework. (If you copy from external sd set permissions to rw-r-r)
Restart the tablet now
Delete cache and dalvik cache if it not boot properly
And see the difference
now after restart the tablet you can remove the''renamed framework-res.apk.old''

OK guys, I am going to try and kick out the final ROM today. I tried booting the Arnova ICS on my new tab but it wont boot even using the original kernel. Figures.

But I can test and make the ROM on my 10G2 using a mouse.

So since all of you have been testing etc.
Please summarize what you want in this ROM.

FYI, I have an updated clockwork recovery that supports EXT-sd formatted as EXT4. Not sure any of you have tried that yet but its for support of APPS2SD.

I will also add the new wpa_supplicant to support adhoc.

So please make a list you want in the final ROM:

There are 2 tscalibration apps.

tscalibration.apk
tscalibrationR.apk

Remove both?

I told you guys many posts back... this is somehow built into the framework files! I tried to remove wizard and tscalibration and on first boot after a ROM flash it STILL always came up with the calibration!

So Arnova has a screwed up ROM here if you ask me. I do not believe those APKs are even used as if they are removed, calibration still comes up!

The only way I see to fix it is to migrate to ICS 4.0.4 AOSP files and make a new ROM completly! While this will work great for capacitive screen people, it wont work for resistive.

Arnova tried to make a single ROM for both Capacitive and Resisitive screens and in the process, they gave us this jacked up ROM that causes capacitive screen people a "dark horse" of getting stuck in screen calibration.

I have not had time to look and find it. The reason I have NOT had time is I do not have one of these tablets and testing with a freakin mouse is slow! Also Me doing new ROMs for people that have unrooted ROMs have kept me very busy. SO anyone that wants to step up and start helping with the G3, feel free to contact me. Snakekiller, time to get a linux setup buddy I will teach you everything if you want to go to the next level

Ok bob my pc is a dualboot with win 7 and linux
And a little bit linux knowledge
I already figured it out how i mount your system.img in linux for removing stuff or adding .
But after sometimes reflashing the new img. I have sometimes the tscallibration screen.

Ok, how many on this thread have resistive, and how many have capacitative?

Is it possible to build one each way? Or for now just focus on the capacitative?

I assume, Snakekiller, you are talking about the framework mod?

As per my PM's, I'm getting stuck on the boot animation screen. I have to put the paper clip in the hole, and do CWM restore.

I'm just sharing this with others trying the new Apk.

I would like to know if it's just mine doing this.
