Well true.... funny thing is... my new tab was rooted out fo the box! Makes no sense. Reading about this tab on another forum NO ONE's was rooted....... Also mine came with a build in July 14 and has only GO Launcher-HD built in. I fear I do not have a stock ROM. But enough about the new tab

Hi Bob, I have flashed your rom for the 10b G3 and am getting stuck! the tablet boots with the freaktab logo and then shows me a recovery menu with the first option, reboot now highlighted. If I choose to reboot, the tablet flashes a couple of lines of text at the bottom left of the screen, too fast for me to read and then the screen stays black.

I have flashed my 10G2 many times with your brilliant roms, from the first one on the arctablet site (the less said, the better about that!) to your latest with no problems, although I am unfamiliar with the clockwork mod.

I have had to resort to flashing the kasty rom, which, although it works, is nowhere near as good as yours!

I am a relative noob, so I am probably doing something stupid!

Perhaps you can point me in the right direction to get it working?

Lastly, can I just say thank you so much for the effort you put into your roms, they make an average tablet into something really good!

Newbie to Arnova

Great thread, but excuse my ignorance - where is the Rom and how is it flashed? Just got a cheap 10B 3G for my wife and the performance is shocking, rather than take it back I am going to have a ago at flashing it.

If anyone would be good enough to either give me the link (I have looked but to no avail) to enable me to do this.

Hi,

The rom can be downloaded on page 2 of this thread, post #33 and contains full instructions on how to flash it, the drivers needed and all software you need as well! It is relatively easy too do (I managed it)

I have an Arnova 10G2 as well as a 10b G3 and the perfomance out of the box of my 10G2 was pretty lacklustre until I loaded Bobs rom and then it flew!!!!!

If this rom is as good as the 10G2 one, and I am sure it is, it will totally transform your tablet. Bob is a genius with these things!

When you log in you have to tick the keep me logged in tickbox to enable you to download. Just open the readme file in the package for instructions.

First use the latest rom - Beta 2 - http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ll=1#post18463

Not had this particular problem but I'd make sure you read Bob's instructions fully and follow them - easy to miss a step as I have done a few times even if you're 100% sure you did follow them the first time! Make sure you erase the IDB as the first step. Also keep the power lead plugged in!

Yes for this ROM you must Erase IDB and you MUST check the loader check box! If you do not flash the new loader CWM will get stuck!

On the flash tool screen just click the box erase Idb before your start. Make sure the loader button is selected on the same screen. Than you are ready to go! Now just click run and the flash will begin

Okay, I know that you are busy with other ROM's, Bob. I just thought you would like to know that NBC's app for Olympic coverage works, sort of, on my G2, but won't stream any video on my G3.

I'm using Snakekillers build.prop.

They say their system is designed by Adobe, but I'm not sure if it is Flash or Air (or that it makes any difference).

Both tabs are having trouble rendering the app's control pages. I get to see stuff by hitting random buttons that I can't read the labels to. It kind of reminds me of channel surfing in the days of rabbit ears. (Age givaway). This is the same problem I get with Netflix on the G3.

I hope don't expect a solution, just FYI.

Sorry to hear about your ICS tab biting the dust. I guess that will set you back on G3 development for a while.

I have exactly the same problem. When I select reboot the text at the bottom of the screen says "rebooting" and then just goes to black screen.

I followed the instructions, but noticed when it came to flashing the instructions said all tick boxes should be ticked except "backup" on mine "boot" was not ticked, so i tried ticking it, but got an error to say the bootfile doesnt exist, so I left it unticked. Is this the problem, if so where is the boot.img??

Also, there is no value in the "offset" column for "loader". Is this correct?

Anyone able to help?

edited to add - looks like Ive fixed it. You do need the "boot" option ticked, but the boot.img file is actually called "newboot.img"
