The 1.8 firmware is just newer than this one right? Not for a cube 9x with a slightly different hardware?

This tablet flies

Had my new Cube U65 Talk 9X for a couple of weeks now and I am very pleased. Wi-fi strength is excellent, 3G works well and with the addition of Nova launcher and CM browser it really flies on the stock ROM. Can't believe what excellent value for money this tablet is.

Besides the power button lag (which seems to be OK with my device) anyone else notice the performance lagginess of this tablet? Applications don't seem slow on it, but there is noticeable lag in transitions and loading graphics. Any suggestions for fixing this?

Yes I agree, there is a noriceable lag on it!!! I guess this is a Software Problem. I tried yesterday a Nexus 10, which is the slower device. But the Nexus 10 seems much faster than the Cube I think the reason is the better Custom ROM on the Nexus 10. I also noticed, the Firefox browser is very slow and not smooth at all. The Default browser ist faster and smoother but not as good like Chrome, but Chorme doesn't work :-(

OK, thx. Will try this browser tonight. Yesterday, I had the Chance to compare my new Cube Talk 9x with a Nexus 10 and to be honest, the Nexus 10 works more smooth even with the older Hardware. It was very impressing to see how such an old tablet (Nexus 10/ Paranoid Android as ROM) runs. I am a bit dissapointed now, but will give the Cube a Chance, i just received it two days ago.

Your English is fine.

I've not used the nexus 10 but had a nexus 7 2013. The cube compares favourably to the nexus. The big advantage to the nexus is the availability of sources for the kernel enabling custom ROMs to be built from sources.
