Thanks Bob for all your fine work, especially for people like me - NEWBIES.

I have succeeded in flashing Evolution 3.0 on my Cube. I mustered enough courage to progress and would now like to switch to Finless 1.4a Rom. However, I don't want to lose all my apps & data. Can someone please help with a step-by-step guide to prepare the tablet prior to flashing so that I may restore my apps/data after the flashing of the new Rom. Or, can I upgrade to your ROM?

    Thanks.

You can back up your apps with programs like app2sd or titanium back up.

But when you flash Bobs Rom you will have to do a full re flash. Download the firmware . Unzip it and follow the read me file in the folder.
Don't miss out any steps follow it to the letter

Than re install apps2sd and re install your apps

      Have fun

        Is my tablet bricked?

I just tried to install this ROM and I get no error during flashing but when the tab boots, I get taken to the CLockworkmod screen. So I select reboot and then it gets to the ICECUBE screen (which is constantly flashing) and hangs there. I tried flashing it with the Cube ROM (v1.10) but that hung on a flashing Cube logo. Tried going back to this ROM and still the same. Any ideas what I can do?

When you flashed the Rom did you select the loader at the top of the flash screen?

And before you started the flash did you click erase Idb?

Yes. The loader was already ticked and I did erase IDB before I ran it.

After the first boot after flash it will take longer to boot up. Does the boot animation keep flashing or does it crash.

If it crashes all I can suggest is take out memory card before flashing and retry. Some people have had problems with faulty leads and high speed USB3 ports so you could try different lead or USB port, but if it flashed maybe it is not them

OK - I have tried flashing it again without the SD card and changing cable/port etc and it still goes to the ClockworkMod recovery screen. Is that part normal? From that screen I select "reboot system now".

Yes that is normal on first boot after this flash it goes to the Clockwork Mod screen. When it reboots after that to the homescreen than reboot again.

Strange How it took all that to get it working but at least it is now.

                      Enjoy the Rom

Is there any way to make bluetooth work on the U9GT2 running your 1.4a?

                            Thanks

I would need to have BT.ko modules made for the ICS kernel. If you can find any let me know and I can do it. Also remember these KO modules will probably be specific to a certain brand of BT chipset in them.
