    TWRP for Prosonic P7777G

    Hi Abdul,

I recently picked up a Proscan PLT7777G-Q to play with and I am trying to get TWRP running on it. Actually I am pretty close. I have gotten TWRP to run by starting with your Beelink S82b and using the kernel from the Proscan. I am booting off the sdcard. TWRP displays and touch works. However the resolution of the Proscan is only 800x480. And of course the partition layout is also different. I want to compile TWRP from scratch to make the necessary changes. Would you be willing to share you local_manifest.xml to get me started? Also any pointers would be helpful. I am also using this as a learning experience.

    Thanks,
    Doug.

I copy file recovery.img to sdcard and try to load in recovery mode. Nothing... (black screen again) What can I do?
The dead recovery is a problem in the first Minix firmware. To fix the recovery use the zip file Finless created. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...P-format-FIXED!

Worked for me. Hope it helps you out as well.

Can you dig into the two images and find out necessary information? Xiaomi's devices all have two boot (boot and boot1) and system (system and system1) partitions. I can upload images if you need them. It will be fantastic if TWRP allows to select one of the two to install a custom rom. Many thanks!

BTW: This is the recovery.img from the latest 111k4 Firmware, from the 18th of December.

                  Will this device accept TWRP?

                  Hi there,

New here and dont know much about android TV's, i have installed TWRP many times on phones but little confused with the TV box's.

My MX box bricked few days after a boot animation got corrupt and i never had a fullback up, turned out the device was a clone and when flashing back the firmware it killed it.

Would TWRP work on this device please? dont want a new brick

                  Thanks!

As far as I can tell... Going on the fact that its the 2G/8G (S82) version.
Then yeah it should be OK as long as you use the S82 Version.

I only have the M82 (1G/8G), version of the MXIII, and unfourtunatly, probably due to the different format structure.
Such versions do NOT work on that Device.

So make sure that its an S82, and NOT the M82 that you have or else you may well brick that One as well!

Ok cool, thanks for the info guys!

When the box arrives ill use a Chipset identifier to make sure its al correct, the clone showed different chipset in settings to the identifier.

                        Again thank you.
