I will try to install some apps that are install partially on SDCARD, like games (Asphalt 8), to see if all works.
Thanks a lot for this modification, I think now this tablet is much more usable than before.

If somebody is interested, GPS reception on this tablet is poor (like on many chinese phones that I had before (Jiayu, Zopo, ...), maybe it works if I am outside somewhere with no buildings (not tested yet), but inside, near to window (where TCL Idol X catch GPS fast and without problems), I can see only one satellite, nothing else. Maybe I will try to play with some GPS settings, if it will help.

      Thanks again for help.
Do i have to reflash the whole Rom,or only boot.img?
Regarding the GPS,on my tablet it's working perfect(i asked the guys at pandawill to check the tablet very hard, especially the GPS).This is how u have to work with chinese company's.

I reflashed complete image and used "firmware upgrade" option.

PS: I also asked "chinese" to check GPS before sending, and I seen that at least GPS test was installed and tablet was also rooted directly, but still, max that I managed was 3 satellites with no lock (but I am in the center of city and lot of tall building around, so if I am outside maybe it will work somehow. Anyway, I don't need GPS, as it is going to be present for my son (so extra storage that we got with this modification will be for games :-) ). I was just curious if they (Chinese) finally fixed their GPS issues, as for me only one device from china that I owned so far had/have really good GPS reception, and it's TCL Idol X.

          Hi.
I just found out a post in a Russian forum, with great info and new official ROMS/Firmwares for our tablet.
If someone that speaks the Russian language can translate it, it would be great for all of us.
I'm using RileyROM 1.1 and it is great. Many thanks to Riley.

            Identical Tablets

Just popping in to say that Best Buy is selling a tablet for 89 bucks called the Digital2 Platinum Pad 8". It is an exact replica of the Chuwi vx8. Same hardware, same design, same software, same kernel, everything. I wanted to say thank you for all of the support and what-not you guys have supplied for the Chuwi vx8 because there is literally zero mention of my own tablet on the internet. However, after searching the hardware and kernel I came across this tablet. :P The rooting method for the Chuwi worked and I am hoping the CWM Recovery works as well. Going to try it out!

It really isn't necessary to flash the whole ROM if you want to use the new boot.img (with SD cards switched).

Just uncheck all of the other items and flash only the boot.img file. It's much faster, and you don't risk loosing any data.

BTW, glad to hear this ROM works with the clone tablet sold by Best Buy!!!!! Maybe we'll gain some more users because of that.

Remember to donate, so I can start adding Chuwi tablets to my test bench.

I'm not too sure if most people will know about this tablet or that it is a clone of the Digital2 Tablet but I'll do my best to refer others to this topic since it seems as though I'm the only one who has posted anything on the internet about it. I put up a topic on XDA but I'll be sure to refer people here to see what's all been done on this tablet.

I'll also definitely try to donate whatever I can from my Christmas money. :P But for now, I need your help with something. How exactly do I flash the CWM Recovery? Can you link me to what I need?

If nothing happens when you click the download button, you likely have a USB connection problem. This is common.

                              1. Have you installed the drivers? If not, read the steps in the First Time User's Guide.
                              2. Try a different cable...it's better to use the one that came with the tablet.
                              3. Use a USB 2.0 port...not USB 3.0.

                                Maybe it's because i have Windows 8.1...
