That is exactly what your problem is. Do you have an old box laying round with an older Windows OS? It might be worth it to bring it out of moth balls for flashing.

I have read a few people who have been able to install the drivers in Windows 8.1, but the process isn't mainstream/reliable.

I refuse to upgrade my kitchen laptop to 8.1 for that reason...if it ain't broke...don't fix it, right?

LOL Rriley.both my desktop and my laptop are running 8.1.

Disassemble the digitizer and check the printed number on the strip attached to the mainboard and google it..is what I did for my chuwi V17HD...

Also the code that you wrote doesn't return any result and it is different from the code on Actablet for the 3G edition. Is it correct?

On my Chuwi VX8 the code on the cable is F-WGJ80095-V1.

The code FY08021DI27S01-F I wrote is for the IPS TFT LCD screen of the VX8. By the way your tablet which code does it have for the IPS TFT LCD screen?
