    Hello,
I installed these kernel and boot images but Antutu shows 720 in device info. And, you can actually tell that it's not 1080, all is blur and not sharp. The ROM is very fast but the device gets veeery hot.
What am I doing wrong ?
    Thank you!

Try the solution from #105. Using the 1080p kernel the output should be 1080p but Android renders the picture in 720p that's why it's blurry.
The kernels aren't overclocked, in fact they use the stock voltages so your device shouldn't get too hot.

        I'll try that. Thank you!

I have an orignal MK808b with RK903 and I tried to flash the Dumonde's MK808 ROM an the 1080p kernel from post #153 (http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...480#post535480)

I have used this description from post #21 (http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...351#post325351) and I flashed the Dumonde's Firmware and the kernel- and boot-image fromBalintBanyasz.
After the flashing is starts with the 2 pinguins an with the message "metadata invalid argument and cannot mount external_sd". After 3 or 4 boot-loops it stopps with the android boot-logo. What is wrong?

I've created two complete MK808B KitKat ROMs (1080p and 720p) based on Dumonde's KitKat ROM with my MK808B kernels. Try to flash the 1080p image, it should work.

              Hello Balint.
Great work with the wifi fix kernel. Finally we can have kitkat on mk808b.

There is a problem though. Bluetooth isnt working. Dont know if you forgot to include it in the kernel.

Im trying to find the ideal kitkat rom in combination with your wifi fix.
I tried your wifi kernel with latest Dumonde's rom from here but it doesnt see to work. Which version did you use?
Shomari's and modded Avion's rom with overclocked kernels are the best option but only Wifi works.

There is also a rom from Kent on 4pda.ru. Bluetooth and wifi works great, but its a 720p not 1080p and you have to scale the screen every time you reboot.

So it would be great if you included all improvements on a new single kernel.
I mean both wifi and bluetooth working for rk903, 1080p and overclocked maybe [1080p][1608][400][600].

I ll try your new rom and hope it solves some of the issues.
Anyway thank you for your work.

              Regards.

                Hi,

Try my 1080p ROM. Bluetooth works, I've just tested it to confirm. If you still have problems, try the EraseFlash option in AndroidTool v2.3 before flashing the firmware.

                Regards,

Yes, i was referring to your previous wifi fix kernel.
I tried to find a working kitkat rom in combination with your kernel. Dont know if you forgot to include a bluetooth fix or its a rom issue.
Anyway, just tried your new rom and indeed bluetooth works.

                  Thanks.

I still have problems with the KitKat ROM. Now it stops after formatting cache. I used the AndroidTool v2.3 and the KitKat ROM. I did a EraseFlash before Upgrade. What else can I do?

I've updated the original post with links to the latest kernels. If you're interested in a complete KitKat ROM for the MK808B, you should try my KitKat ROM.

have tried to flash this rom on my 808B (I took it apart and verified it's RK903), but after flashing (I tried multiple times) I always get 2 penguins in the upper left corner. These are the steps I used:

                          1) Put stick into loader mode by plugging in OTG cable while pressing reset button
                          2) Once AndroidTool recognizes the stick under the "Download image" tab I click "LowerFormat", then after that's done in the "Upgrade firmware" tab I select the firmware and press upgrade

The upgrade will be successful, then stick reboots automatically, and it's stuck at 2 penguins. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

That's perfectly normal after installation. Wait for Android to boot.
