Randy your post #18 should really be in the text of the first one for each PipoP4 ROM as this is where the first time users like me start looking. Further than that the process went without a glitch. Now lets see how battery life is going to be.

Sorry about that.

On all of my ROM's there is a PDF file named "First Time User's Guide". This is where all of the instructions are for flashing the ROM.

I've updated the guide for these 3288's and will add the update to my ROM's from now on.

My Pipo P4 arrived from Geekbuying and I've installed this ROM and everything I've tested so far is working well. It was my first time to use Geekbuying but I was impressed how quickly my order was processed and shipped. I added a few dollars extra to upgrade the free shipping to DHL and a week later I had it.

Antutu score is around 34000 and scrolling in CPU intensive apps like Chrome is nice and smooth.

and to give a balanced view..... geekbuying took my money for a product they did not have in stock and i had to wait to get it back...... aside from that.....top man as always riley..... any luck with the hdmi settings ? ....... its ok to cast screen but would like to use hdmi when travelling.... cheers pinky

Geekbuying seem to be one of the privileged few to get stock of P4, pipomall and pandawill didn't have it when I was looking. I got a surprise bonus in my parcel which was a free cover, only problem is it's for a P1 or m6pro so I'm still looking for one for p4.

I did some testing with CPU apps and CPU frequency seems to be capped at 1608 MHz, fast and stable at that level though.

1.7 is working great on my p4... But more often then not when I leave it in sleep mode for more the an hour I can't turn it back on via the power button... I have to hold the power button for 10 secs to get it to boot. When it does come back the brightness is turned down to a very low level but the battery still has lots of juice. I am on stock ROM with the 4gb partition... No fancy root apps or kernel tweakers on.

Anyone else seeing this annoying SOD?

so i have made an error here.... wanted to backup data file with twerp and flash to p4..... back data to micro sd... trans fered to pc.... connected p4 to pc.... started android tool in the twerp restore #7..... used win data file and flashed..... of course i now have bricked tablet with just pipo interactive media 442 showing..... please help this idiot out

If you power off then press volume + and hold power until it starts to boot it should take you back into TWRP. You could then restore your backup directly from microsd. If that doesn't work you may have to reflash ROM.
