For pipo p1 users or interested in buying one of them:

On P1 stock kernel is finally enabled deep sleep function on 3g models (very good Pipo!)
3g module on P1 is still not good, but better than previous models with a real speed of 2,2Mbit download (rated should be 7Mbit)

Maybe next kernel will implement deep sleep for WiFi version as well

Deep sleep is already working on WiFi model, as you can see in CPU spy. It's just there is still some cell standby drain so you can save some battery doing as described above. Of course a great thing with these new tablets is the fast booting so you can save more by shutting right down and it only takes 15 seconds to boot back up.

Asphalt 8 graphic bug

After change finger print P4 to galaxy note 3 , i can set medium and high graphic asphalt 8 but with graphic bug like onda v989 allwinner a80.........bad

I really can't fault the performance of this tablet, I love its speed and smooth scrolling. The only crash I had was when I tried the video mode of the camera, by default video can is set to 1080p which it can't handle but I changed setting to 720p and it works fine.

Regarding the tweak for the battery, done some more testing and on average getting about 4% drop overnight on standby with WiFi and sync off and about 6 hours on screen time over a couple of days. I'm happy with that but may temporarily undo the tweak to compare the difference.

(update) after some test.......now you can set high with fingerprint nexus 10, but high on nexus 10 still worst than high on note 3 but still better than low graphic setting (default rk3288)

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "changing the fingerprint"...and what it changes to the system settings. Can you explain in more detail what you are doing?

OK...I understand. Looks like an easy enough fix.

On my Jellybean ROMs I spoofed as Samsung in the build.prop...but I got complaints....so I stopped doing it. I think users can easily do it this way so their games will work better. That's the joy of being rooted.

just change mali device with other mali devices....pipo p4 (mali T-7xx) change nexus 10 (mali-T6xx), new gpu need more time to compatible game like mali T760 and Power VR G6xxx have bug with high graphic......

My new cover for my P4 arrived today. It has a hard back with perfect cutouts for speaker, camera and pinhole etc and a soft front flap that can fold to form a stand. I was also surprised that when I open the front flap the device wakes up automatically, there must be a cover sensor. Purchase was from Shenzhen Kaikai on AliExpress $11.99 with free shipping.

No sensor,the magnets of the case are strong interference with the sensors of the tablet.Notice that when you close the case flap the device also wake up and also you may notice that the screen at random will turn off and lock.Thats the magnets of the case doing that,happened to me.

If my screen is on it turns off when I close flap but if it's already off it will turn back on briefly. So far I don't have random problems.

Edit: OK I'm starting to see the random turn off and lock, magnets a bit strong.
