As my signature says...I was a "flashaholic" long before I learned to cook ROM's. Manual flash mode is a life saver. Results may very...depending on whether that key combination is possible on your device. Some require the "esc/back" button and power...if there aren't any external volume keys. I haven't looked that closely at the P4 to tell.

Regarding "cell standby" battery drain on a wifi only device, I remember on the JB ROMs we could delete TelephonyProvider and Phone apps from /system/app. In KitKat the Phone app is replaced by TeleService in /system/priv-app so I experimented renaming these two files with a ".bak" extension and deleting the associated odex file. I used the file manager in TWRP to do this after mounting the system partition. I've been running a couple of days since then and haven't had any instability. Overnight battery drain is much flatter, in fact last night it started at 80% and was still 80% in morning:

I really can't fault the performance of this tablet, I love its speed and smooth scrolling. The only crash I had was when I tried the video mode of the camera, by default video can is set to 1080p which it can't handle but I changed setting to 720p and it works fine.

Regarding the tweak for the battery, done some more testing and on average getting about 4% drop overnight on standby with WiFi and sync off and about 6 hours on screen time over a couple of days. I'm happy with that but may temporarily undo the tweak to compare the difference.

One thing to try is force either 720p or 1080p by turning off the auto setting on the TV. Some TVs don't connect well with the auto setting activated.

success... it was the cable.... needs to be a 1.4 4k cable.... just got some delivered from pipo...... im happy.... its all in the chase and when it works its cool....... on to the next issue

Each RileyROM version is based on a factory firmware update from Pipo. When I see the next update, I'll make 1.8.

For pipo p1 users or interested in buying one of them:

On P1 stock kernel is finally enabled deep sleep function on 3g models (very good Pipo!)
3g module on P1 is still not good, but better than previous models with a real speed of 2,2Mbit download (rated should be 7Mbit)

Maybe next kernel will implement deep sleep for WiFi version as well
