hello guys, 3 questions for you: the device turns on automatically when you turn on the TV or you can only turn on with the remote control? The root with EZ Root Tool works 100% on this device? I see a great hardware, are you disappointed about something?

No disappointment for me. EZ Root does it quickly, just put it on top of the sdcard and it is recognized and updates. I did notice (see above) that it can get hot. I set the max cpu lower to compensate.
There is not too much going on with custom roms from developers on freaktab, though. I would like to get some developers working on customizing it, so if you want a device with developer support they aren't on this one.
Have it on 2nd floor room above the modem and wifi picks up fine. I use it for xbmc mainly. I would recommend getting a keyboard remote with it.
It comes on when you turn on the tv. No cec support, though.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

tnx budgetgeek, is very strange that a device like this hasn't support, I think that currently is one of the best on the market, and his price now is very low (69euros - 76$), I'm following it from many months but I never bought because it hasn't support, but now I'm sorely tempted (at least now we can root it).My Devices: Honor 6, Cx-919 (finless 2.0), JXD S7800B (RileyROM 1.2)

I would like to be able to boot it up remotely and leave it running or optionally power it off.
On my mk903v
-switch to different HDMI port.. makes it go from blue to red
-shutdown stick, TV or HDMI switch to port of stick.. after a few TV nags... it starts booting
Sadly.. red modus terminate's any running apps, after a few hours
(then my adapter starts making noises..the same as if no devices are connected)
Men should also mention the quick first bootup of kodi/spmc...the fast navigation of kodi..even with fanart/metadata
The quick browsing the web...
Everything feels faster... (atleast faster then s805/802/31s)
But the video quality could be better.. and cooling (tried gaming almost burned my fingers on the stick)

I have not seen any full reboot crashes... as yet
Things learned..
A airmouse or gamepad dongle can make the WiFi drop the connection (use a long extension cable, to fix this)
If you use the otg/IR port.. for dongle or usbdac allot depends on the cable used
-one cable failed.. one worked, but gives static noise on usbdac... one cable worked perfect
Spmc 14.2 seems to crash on some files.. if you still wish to play that file..disable HW and use Sw for the time being
-or use a different version of kodi
My router supports CH13 and 14, mk903v has no issues connecting to these rare CH
I use a Samsung TV and marmitek HDMI switch
-A class otg cable
-A class USB power adapter 5v 3.1a max (15.5watt)
-a 45degree HDMI adapter.. to give it more space for cooling
Tried and working
Bl keyb/mouse Motorola, usbdac's : 3dsound and dragonfly, USB2Sata sintech, USB2LAN adapter, tronsmart gamepad, airmouse t2, Logitech dongle unifi
Failed: Logitech g5 mouse
Hope it might be helpful

It may have to do with the cooling. I started it up and it ran fine for a little while, so I reverted some changes I made to the launcher and lcd.density, reinstalled some system apps that may have been important, reinstalled SPMC and then started working on setup when it started crashing. So I rebooted and it would crash right after boot. I have it shut down now, and I will be moving some stuff from around it to allow some air flow on top and bottom.
On a related note, if you want to test out ****s return policy, you can put $6 on one of these scams:

Great news! Everything is working as expected.
After more experimenting, I decided to change the USB power cord and have narrowed it down to a power problem, not software related at all. I had a bad usb this whole time. Needless to say, it has been fed to the woodchipper.Last edited by budgetgeek; 26 June 2015, 16:43.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

Anyone know if this is a more recent firmware, or just a repost?

I think it's new. If anyone can test and report on it, please do. It is a smaller file size than the previous version.

Yes, connect to pc and tv, get to download mode and then upgrade with batch tool. I downloaded the package, I think it is just the same as the 03/19 update, minus the hacked airpin pro app. File size says 731031, 03/19 says 735677, and that is the only missing app I see. I'm not going to bother upgrading since it's so much trouble redoing everything.
Hi.,
Thanks for quick answer. Could you please look on my screenshot and explain what version I have now install on dongle.
Thanks ans regards, Stas.
