So that is the one I'm referring to as the 4/20 release. When you extract it, the title says it is 20150420 or some configuration like that. I'll use the factory tool on the 3/19 release and remove air pin preinstaller and see if the file size is the same.

If you use the rom with air pin, you won't be able to use it, it pops up an alert that it is illegally installed and it will only go away when you uninstall it.

I had thought about that myself. I was thinking of creating a new thread to see if we could pull together some donations for the effort. I will be happy to contribute $5 US if anyone else can match and help out. Mine doesn't stutter, but if there are any OC options and developer tweaks, it would be awesome.

That's good to hear.. I also stated/offered some contribution/donations money

Note: I always give donations.. if I used a custom ROM -I like -and the developer has a donation button

            Cheers

BTW, here is a list of firmwares that I could find. http://chinagadgetsreviews.com/?s=MK903V+
I have the 16gb version which also has the AP6335 AC wifi module as opposed to the AP6330 on the 8gb version.
                Anyone else got the 16gb?

They had two versions at the beginning, but then later there was only one release. The later software worked on my 8GB model, but it doesn't mention AP6330 or AP6335.

Bosuntop website only had one version: http://www.bosuntop.com/en_soft.php?pid=11&cid=27

After that, there have been a few releases from china gadgets reviews website, notably the 12/27 or 12/28 version that seems to be the basis of all the other updates, but they both seem to be the same...

I flashed my 16gb with the latest fw they had from July and my wifi didn't see any 5.8ghz networks. That is the only difference I found. I went back to the 16gb fw from January, and the wifi is easily maxing out my internet capability of 65mbps. I bought an AC router specifically for that, I hope i see some 16gb releases which support the AP6335 in the future.

I did some deep digging into my old e-mails.. I have the 8GB version
So, mo123 asked for dmseg - this morning --that I gave to him..

                      But know.. i get this..pm
Have you by any chance got any other firmware from a TV Stick/TV Box booted on your MK903V even if everything didn't work?
If not, please try Beelink RK3288 - Wasser 2.0.9 or OHC(http://forum.openhourlab.com/index.php) or something and tell me the result.
Eg. no display, works but wifi/bt doesn't work etc.
Or if it doesn't work, flash another ROM but then flash your kernel/resource.img separately from RK Flash Tool also afterwards.
Will help me better in the approach to make a custom ROM.
                      Has anyone ever tried this?

I haven't attempted pulling kernel or resource img from RK3288 yet. Are they like the RK3188, where you hardly brick them, even with a hammer? I don't have a backup on me right now to go messing with my primary stick. I haven't tried using TWRP backups on it, I really have not "played" with it much, out of fear of bricking it like the Russian guy did.

                            Hmm..perhaps i should ask mo123..where hey lives..
If its close bye.. or neighboring country's. i could just send him my unit.. makes developing a bit easyer (I do desire it back -ofcourse )

This is from page 2. I'm on page 11 now reading through google translate again.

It looks like one of them from the post tried the wasser firmware...

Oh and who wants to indulge in a snack, the firmware on the lollipop (until Betka, there are bugs, but very nimble, 37000 in antutu) http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...or-beelink-r89 . Drivers, though from another device, but the iron is similar to ours, not only works otg.
Solved own. Ceasing driver now a piece of iron is connected properly, and even sewn.
I sewed wasser 2.0.9. With any mouse movements on the TV screen goes blank, but the piece of iron is not rebooted. This was in the original firmware but in a much more modest scale, a few months ago I wrote about it in this topic, but nothing has informed me did not answer. Then I experimented with this piece of iron postponed. There is a suspicion that the power is not enough power supply, but I do not know how to check. Normal meter does not show anything. I saw Ali sold Special Soup for measuring current in a circuit USB, but its a long wait. I have thought why can it be?
