OpenElec on EM8

Just curious, what do you think is different in the OEbeta3 that allows wifi to work on my TRMk1 box, but is not working with your justme_1.3.zip is there a driver that can be added to the justme_1.3.zip from the Openelec version you have?

wow this thing is fast just installed on trmk1 box.

I came from the justme v1.3 rom, i still get the justme v1.3 splash screen not a problem tho.

I flashed via going into recovery via toothpick mode and factory reset / wiped cache then installed from ext.

cmx installation aborted

Hey guys,
I<ve been buying 30 cmx boxes from geekbuying for a good price and installing openelec and then resell them, they installed and worked like a charm. But on the last 10 boxes I ordered, no matter what i do install starts and verifies installation check and then just says installation aborted, I tried in almost all of them and did nothing.
CMX boxes are the cheapest amlogic mx boxes one can get because their android firmware was buggy and not very much comunity supported.
I didn't mind the android bugginess since I loaded right away openelec and was more than good for me and my customers.
With this installation aborted issue, I asked on many forums what to do and I was told to install matricom 1.1.6 firmware using the toothpich method with the sd in (so nothing to select on recovery screen) it loads instantly into an android installer, i can see the progress and then bang blank screen and the LED remains red.
When I removed the power plug to and replugged it the LED remains red and nothing happens no matter how long i wait.
I don't know if we can call this soft-bricking or whatever bricking type, but I solely want my boxes to load openelec and I'm so confused since I don't know if my method is good or no since i don't want to brick all the other 8 boxes.
Your help guys is more than appreciated

I've just flashed V3, but one booting I see the M8 logo for a second then the TV shows no signal being detected.

Any ideas?

why post asking this question? flash both and make your own mind up?
main difference is this is Xbmc gotham codesnakes later ones are kodi helix among a few other differences

Why am I asking!? To avoid having to flash both and finding the differences. Codesnake has both Gotham and Helix builds, I should have asked what the difference was between the 2 Gotham Builds.

try both no big deal in flashing everyone has their own opinion , I will also post kodi version been set back with other priorities and I'm sure codesnake is doing a great job also.

It's quite a job for me to set up my XBMC installs so I try and avoid reflashing too often.

Anyway. Can you tell me whether the option wo "Wait for network" within the Openelec settings works on this ROM?

Hello all,
Really struggling to get this justme openelec installed on my TRMk1. I've tried twice now unsuccessfully and had to put justme oman back on twice.
Here's what I've been doing...........
Tried on USB stick first and failed then decided it had to be micro SD card but still failed.
1- set resolution to 720
2- downloaded justme openelec beta 3
3- transferred it to USB/micro SD
4- unzipped in USB/SD
5- booted into recovery using toothpick method
6- wipe data/factory reset
7- wipe cache
8- apply update from EXT
9- update from SD card, also udisk
10- justme_openelec_beta3.zip (seems to work, states "openelec installed successfully"
11- factory reset
12- reboot
It just shows the cats eyes of justme and sticks
reboot again.......the same
turn off/on at switch......the same
reload justme oman
