I flashed finless 1.7 , set display to 720. Booted to recovery. Installed openelec and wala.
How can I do a wifi speedtest on this thing? I have never seen or used openelec so pardon me in advance.
regards
borikua
Is Finless's 1.7 rom still on the site or just the 1.8?
Thanks

Mine is booting fine. Not tried the TWRP method on my other box yet.
We would need to decompress the file system (SYSTEM) copy the shadow fike and then re-squashfs it back up again. This would be needed to be done in a linux distro but I have successfully done this on a raspberry pi running openelec.

I'm still stuck on this OpenELEC splash screen. I've flashed a lot of boxes and have never had this happen to me before.

I did exactly as Zahir did post #37 that worked for me, think you have done the same
1. Remove SD card (with the rom files on it) Note, these are the files INSIDE JM's download.
2. Use toothpick to get into stock recovery.
3. Insert SD card with all JM's files on it.
4. From recovery menu, perform factory reset.
5. From recovery menu, wipe cache (yes, again)
6. Select Install update from Ext, navigate to rom zip and install
7. When installation is done, do another factory reset from recovery.
Try Stanes Rom for android just to boot etc, then try above again
Maybe the twrp method also as mention ?
Failing that I will give you a dollar for you box
Cheers

And are you just putting the zip file on the sdcard and choosing that zip file when you go to ext then sdcard. Or are you putting other files on it?
Ill try again tomorrow, it's 6am here have to hit the sac. Just got down work a couple hours ago.
Thanks for the help, appreciate it.

Just the .zip and the .img and choosing the .zip
and the full wipe.
