Awesome bro, i think im gonna get an hph 3288. do you think linux would make good use of the 4gb of ram or would it be overkill?

Just have to pack it again in Linux & upload.
Will post link to Youtube for GoogleTV separately. The funniest thing about this particular signature of mine is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

Will get a 4GB one soon.
Then I'll try to combine my new ROM with a dual-boot Linux image.

You might need to flash the boot.img and/or only resource.img from your stock ROM released after October 2014 for best compatibility.Last edited by mo123; 17 November 2014, 16:47.

Yes, Nagrace is one of Rockchips best suppliers.
They were the first company to actually release a RK3288 TV Box before anyone else and their box is more stable, faster than boxes that are made recently.
My new ROM is now uploaded for everyone to try.
I'm limited by space(800MB in Windows, if I go over 1GB in Linux the ROM doesn't boot for system.img) to not install more apps automatically, will try to find a solution or wait for TWRP/CWM for RK3288 TV Boxes that will make it much easier.
There are 2 bootanimations, just rename bootanimation.zip.old to bootanimation.zip with root access to see the other one.
First boot takes a while but second boot is less than 20 seconds.
Includes latest SPMC v13.3.4 beta 1 from today(not released on Play Store, only on Freaktab) that has perfect video playback and can F/F, R/W & seek with no crashes. Also plays lots of avc/mkv files that have black screens with Kodi beta 2/3.

First off all I would like to say thank for all your hard work for the RK3288 community in general and for Nagrace HPH TV Box in particular.
Regarding your new ROM, do you think I can flash it fully in my HPH RK3288 with 4Gb of RAM and 32Gb of Storage?
Or I must keep my resource.img from my current 1.3.35 Nagrace firmware?
Thanks in advance for your support.
Keep up the good work.

These boxes are mostly unbrickable, if it doesn't work just reflash.
You have to do a lowerformat first since the partition sizes are different than in previous ROMS.

Remember to do a lowerformat since the partition sizes are different, an upgrade on the second tab won't work. Have to flash from the first tab.
Works on both 16GB & 32GB Models and Ugoos UT3 boxes(with their resource.img)Last edited by mo123; 18 November 2014, 06:58.
